[DOTA 2, Wednesday March 31st] Playoffs of the Singapore Major are here. Today we are following uppers bracket round 1. 4 matches, 4 predictions. Here are my picks for Wednesday playoff matches.

Evil Geniuses vs Fnatic: Evil Geniuses @ 1.51, GGbet

Those are the two teams that were placed directly into the playoff bracket. They skipped the first two stages, they were scouting and analysing other teams and players until now. Both teams did the same, so they have 0 intel on how they play since they didn’t play any matches lately. Both teams were really strong and dominant in their regions, but this is it now. North America vs SEA. My money is on Evil Geniuses as I do believe they have the quality and they are a much stronger team overall. Everything is on their side, even the format which is best of 3.

Invictus Gaming vs Vici Gaming: Invictus Gaming @ 1.75, betway

I do believe Invictus Gaming are the heavy favourites here, even bigger than the odds shows it. They were the most dominant team in China in recent months, and they really raised their gameplay and teamplay. Vici is strong too, but they were struggling in the Group Stage of the tournament. Only 2 wins, 4 draws and 2 losses are not exceptional results for them. They failed to impress us all. This is Chinese derby and those types of matches tend to be very uncertain. However, I do give a 60% chance to IG to take this series.

Thunder Predator vs Team Secret: Team Secret @ 1.41, Pinnacle

We could write a couple of pages about Thunder Predator’s performance in this tournament so far. South Americans came to this tournament as a heavy underdog and most probably one of the weakest teams of them all. However, they proved everyone wrong, they finished 1st in the Group Stage with 5 wins, 2 draws and 0 losses. Yes, you heard that right. They’ve only lost 2 maps out of 14 they’ve played. Superb performance from Peruvians, but sadly for them they need to face Team Secret now. Even though they surprised many teams and shocked everyone with their amazing plays, I doubt that they can do that to Puppey and the rest of the company. They are just too experienced and too strong for this. Secret is one of the main favourites of the tournament. Thunder Predator can surprise Secret with a map, but I highly doubt that they can take a series off mighty Secret.

VirtusPro vs PSG.LGD: PSG.LGD @ 2.20, Pinnacle

This is probably the most even match of the day. Even though by the odds, VirtusPro are favourites on most sportsbooks, I doubt it will be so easy for them. PSG.LGD warmed up nicely. 1st place in Wild Card stage of the tournament, 2nd place in the Group Stage of the same tournament. Their only 2 losses were vs Liquid and Thunder Predator, and I do think those matches could have ended up in a different way. Chinese are very strong this season and I think they have everything they need to beat one of the best young EU squads. My money is on PSG.LGD as odds are amazing. More than a double return.

[DOTA 2, Tuesday March 30th] Day 1 of Dota 2 Singapore Major Group Stage has ended. Maybe the biggest underdog in this stage made an epic run on the day 1, beating all teams they played against with a clean 2-0. South American team Thunder Predator is currently holding 1st place in the rankings. Here are my picks and predictions for the Day 2.

ONE Esports Singapore Major: Aster vs Liquid
Aster +0.5 @ 1.51

After the 1st day of the group stage, Aster and Liquid are in the same situation. 1 win, 2 draws and 1 loss are their statistics. 4 wins and 4 losses when we check out the maps. Funny enough, 4 teams in the middle of the table have identical scores and it will be very interesting to see how this final group stage day will unravel. This will surely be one of the most interesting matches. Liquid is not looking so good like they played in the EU qualifiers. On the other side, Aster is missing their position 4 player and they are playing with the standin. I do believe at this stage, Aster can parry Liquid with ease, so in this situation Aster taking 1 map out of 2 is a good bet.

ONE Esports Singapore Major: Alliance vs OB Neon
Alliance -0.5 @ 1.71

Alliance was one of the teams that we expected a lot from. However, they are the biggest disappointment so far in this tournament. 3 matches, 0 victories. 2 losses and 1 draw are their results after group stage day 1. I do think OB Neon are the weakest team in the group stages and even if Alliance are in terrible form, they should be able to take them down. Hopefully they can wake up for Day 2 and take this series. It’s a must win for Alliance as if they can’t win this team, their playoff train is slipping away.

ONE Esports Singapore Major: PSG.LGD vs Alliance
PSG.LGD -0.5 @ 2.28

This is the first value bet of the day. Alliance are just in terrible form and I do think PSG.LGD are a much scarier and much stronger team then Alliance right now. PSG.LGD will take 1 map for sure, but it will be interesting to see if Alliance will have the strength to take a map off Chinese. I do think there is a 50% chance that PSG.LGD takes this series with 2-0, and that’s pretty big if we take those amazing odds in consideration.

ONE Esports Singapore Major: PSG.LGD vs Quincy Crew
PSG.LGD -0.5 @ 1.76

For the end of the day we will watch Chinese powerhouse vs best North American team in 2020. Both teams are in a very good position, but I do think Quincy Crew are bleeding a lot without their standard position 4 player MSS. With a replacement I do think their chances are much lower to beat a team like PSG.LGD. This will be a close one. PSG.LGD are big favourites, but luckily for them this is a best of 2 series. I do think there is a nice possibility here that PSG.LGD wins this with a 2-0. Odds are decent, with smaller unit bets, this should be a good return without too much risk or loss in the end if it happens.

[DOTA 2, Monday March 29th] The Singapore Major Wild Card stage is over. PSG.LGD, Vici and Liquid advanced on to the next stage. Today, the 8 team Group Stage is starting. With a best of 2 matches, we will watch 15 matches on the Day 1 of the group stage. Here are some predictions and picks for Monday matches.

Game: DOTA 2
Match: Thunder Predator vs Liquid (best of 2)
Pick: Team Liquid -0.5
Odds: 1.40 @ GGbet
Units: 1U

One of the best EU teams, Team Liquid will face off South American hopes Thunder Predators. This should be an easy match for the Europeans. Liquid showed that they have got everything to beat strong teams like PSG.LGD and Nigma. Now they need to show that they have everything to beat an underdog like Thunder Predator. Even though Thunder Predator showed amazing games in the South American qualifiers, I do think Team Liquid are a few levels above them. I expect Liquid to take this series with a quick 2-0.

Game: DOTA 2
Match: Alliance vs Aster (best of 2)
Pick: Aster +0.5
Odds: 1.57 @ Pinnacle
Units: 1U

In this best of 2 series, Alliance is facing one of the best teams from China right now. And it will be extremely hard for them. I do believe this is an easy bet and amazing odds if we take into consideration that Aster is a favoured team here, at least for me. There shouldn’t be any problem for them to take a map off Alliance here. Alliance are beasts when NikoBaby has a good game, but this will be so much harder vs a team like Aster. I believe those two teams can split points here and I doubt Alliance can win 2-0. All other options are available and open for me.

Game: DOTA 2
Match: Aster vs PSG.LGD (best of 2)
Pick: Aster +0.5
Odds: 1.70 @ Pinnacle
Units: 1U

This could be a very interesting best of 2 series. Recently, those two teams had some very close matches. Historically, their last 2 series went to all 3 maps, and since this is BO2 this could end up as a draw. PSG.LGD are on a 4 match winning streak. 8 maps won, 0 maps lost and they are looking pretty impressive. They’ve managed to win a Wild Card stage to qualify for the Group Stage of the Singapore Major. I do believe this could be the close one and odds on Aster taking just 1 map are pretty good. Great value and worth trying for. Wouldn’t risk with -0.5 handicap on any team there.

Game: DOTA 2
Match: Vici vs Alliance (best of 2)
Pick: Vici -0.5
Odds: 3.26 @ Pinnacle
Units: 1U

This is a great value bet. Those odds on Vici taking the series with 2-0 are just a great pick. Yes, Alliance can easily pull off a map here if NikoBaby will have a nice Morp or any similar hero game, but I do believe Vici are slightly stronger right now. If they will have a good day, they can overrun Alliance easily at any moment. Everything is opened here I do believe, and that’s the reason why I suggest going for Vici here. I do believe they have a 50% chance of taking it with 2-0. Yes, they had a bad 0-2 loss vs PSG.LGD and a bad fluke vs Nigma (1-1) in the Wild Card stage, but otherwise they whipped the floor with other teams like Liquid, T1 and Gambit. They can do the same with Alliance if everything alings for them.

[DOTA 2, Saturday, March 27th] The first big event of the year and the new DPC season is here. The Dota 2 Singapore Major is starting this Saturday. The first stage is a wild card stage where the 2 best teams will advance. All matches are played in a best of 2 series. To make our bets easier, I’m advising to bet on +0.5 or -0.5 handicaps, and not maps individually. Here are my picks for Day 1.

Game: DOTA 2
Match: Team Liquid vs Team Nigma (best of 2)
Pick: Nigma +0.5
Odds: 1.50 @ Pinnacle
Units: 1U

Liquid and Nigma are the opening match for the first Major of the year. Nigma is playing without their position 3 player MindControl. MinDContRoL is unable to attend the Major, so rmN- will stand-in for him. This makes things a little bit easier for Team Liquid as I do think they are one of the top 5 squads in Europe right now. Nigma had some decent games with their coach before, when Kuroky was not able to play in some tournaments. However, this time rmN- will play position 3 which is much more demanding, so it will be interesting to see how they will open this best of 2 series. If this was best of 3, I would side with Liquid for sure. However, first matches in such tournaments are always too obvious and teams are going into them very carefully. I expect that Liquid and Nigma will split points in this one.

Game: DOTA 2
Match: Team Liquid vs PSG.LGD (best of 2)
Pick: Team Liquid +0.5
Odds: 1.51 @ Pinnacle
Units: 1U

PSG.LGD is one of the best squads from China, that’s for sure. However, in recent years Chinese teams were struggling vs European teams. EU teams have been dominant in the last years, that’s for sure. We haven’t seen inter-regional matches for quite some time, and now it will be interesting to see just that. As I’ve said, Liquid are a top team from EU and they need to play vs a top 3 team from China. This will be an interesting clash, however I do think Liquid can pull a map here. In best of 3, I would pick PSG.LGD, I feel that the Chinese will have a strong Major run this time.

Game: DOTA 2
Match: Team Nigma vs PSG.LGD (best of 2)
Pick: PSG.LGD -0.5
Odds: 2.40 @ Pinnacle
Units: 1U

Nigma will struggle to pull a map from a scary team like PSG.LGD. This will be hard for Nigma to pull off. I think Liquid can be an equal opponent to PSG.LGD, but Nigma, a team that struggled a lot in the recent year and season, will have to do everything they can to beat the Chinese team. Odds on PSG.LGD -0.5 handicap are just amazing. Worth trying for as value in this bet is amazing. Obviously Miracle can make wonders with his heroes, but only if PSG.LGD will allow this, and the Chinese are far too experienced to allow only one player to beat them.

Game: DOTA 2
Match: Team Nigma vs AS Monaco Gambit (best of 2)
Pick: AS Monaco Gambit +0.5
Odds: 1.65 @ Pinnacle
Units: 1U

This should be an interesting one. Gambit has been doing really well recently. Able to qualify for the Wild Card in this Major by finishing 3rd in the CIS qualifiers means something for this new squad. Their lineup is looking scary with NoOne, AfterLife and Sonneiko as captain. I do give them a high chance here vs Nigma, as Nigma is playing with a stand-in. I think Gambit can take a map almost certainly, and if they feel good vs Nigma they can even surprise them and take the whole series. However, it’s really hard to talk about that in the best of 2 matches. Splitting the points is the most open scenario here.

[DOTA 2, Friday March 19th] For the end of the week we have 4 amazing matches in EPIC League Division 1 and 2. With Vikin.gg vs Team Spirit as match of the day, fun is guaranteed. Let’s analyze all matches for today.

EXTREMUM vs VP.Prodigy: EXTREMUM ML @ 1.70

Amazing odds on EXTREMUM here. Even though they have only lost lately, they are in a good position to take this series. 44% win rate vs 53% win rate on VP’s side. In all their last 4 matches, EXTREMUM managed to lose with a 1-2 score. All matches were close ones. Compared to VP.Prodigy, they have much worse stats, as VP.Prodigy has a win over Team Empire. Both teams are in terrible form, but EXTREMUM should win this on experience. With some experienced players that they have and a decent roster, they shouldn’t have any problems vs unknown VP.Prodigy. High stakes match, as the loser is eliminated from the tournament.

Team Empire vs Team Unique: Team Unique ML @ 1.69

I expected more from Team Unique yesterday when they played PuckChamp. However, 1-2 score is not bad vs solid opponents like PuckChamp, but I thought they could win the series. They have it, their form is rising, they surprised and took maps off some better squads, and I don’t see the reason why they shouldn’t win vs Team Empire. In the last 1 month, those two teams played each other two times and Team Unique took victories both times. With Team Empire’s unstable lineup and constant rotations in the roster, Unique is looking like even bigger favourites here.

Tundra vs High Coast Esports: Tundra ML @ 1.35

This year, Tundra has beat High Coast twice already. And that 2nd win was less than 2 weeks ago. Overall, Tundra has more quality, more potential and more aggressivity that they need to beat a team like High Coast. Tundra’s only loss recently was vs Team Spirit, which was a tough one. On the other side, the High Coast is in the same position. From their last 5 matches, they lost only 1, and that was vs the same squad, Team Spirit. This could be the closest match of the day if we are analysing the team’s trends and form, but I believe Tundra will come on top. Lower Bracket round 3 is very dangerous as there is no other chance. Loser is eliminated, as the winner will play in the lower bracket finals.

Vikin.gg vs Team Spirit: Vikin.gg ML @ 2.14

Strangely enough, Vikin.gg is a slight underdog here. How can a team that won so much in the last months be an underdog vs Team Spirit. Well, Team Spirit is the biggest surprise of the tournament, for sure. They are overperforming every opponent they play. Only team that managed to take a map off them recently is Winstrike. I must go with the underdog here, Vikin.gg. Spirit is strong currently, that’s undoubting, but I do believe Vikin.gg can take this on their experience and surprise. At any point in time, like 1 or 2 months ago, I would pick Vikin.gg without a doubt, but today, there is a big doubt. This could be a 50-50 match, but I see a lot of value in Vikin.gg bet. Double returns.

Dota Team vs HellRaisers: Dota Team ML @ 2.01

After their initial loss vs Team Spirit, Dota Team managed to get 3 straight wins vs some CIS decent squads. 2-1 vs VP.Prodigy, 2-1 vs Unique and 2-1 vs Empire brought them in the division 1 of the EPIC League. However, yesterday's 1-2 loss vs brame was a surprise for me. They opened that match nicely with a 1-0 lead, but lost it in the end. Pity enough, because they finally showed some future potential. With such a strong , talented and experienced lineup they could be a team that could be a challenge to everyone. Compared to HellRaisers, who just made 3 changes within their lineup. 2 new players and 1 position chance surely won’t help them in this series. They have strong names in the lineup, but with this being a completely new stack, I’m not sure how they can play this out. My trust is on the Dota Team in this one. Odds are even, and I do believe Dota Team has a 60% chance to take this series.
I watched this game. I'm very confident that Dota Team can manage to win the series but they've lost. They still need to synchronize as a team and have the chemistry and for them to get it, they need more practice.

While the HR, with their 3 former players during their VP days managed to have good plays. It's just sad that if they go along together again. Ramses, Solo, zayac(offlane), lil and resolution. I think they're going to be the monster of CIS.

[DOTA 2, Wednesday March 17th] Today we are following EPIC’s League division 1 and 2 matches. In the division 2, Empire will face RussianDrill in an elimination match, while Team Spirit vs Tundra will be the match of the day in the Division 1. Here are my picks and predictions.

Team Empire vs RussianDrill: Team Empire ML @ 1.50

This is the best of 3 series that will puch one team out of the tournament. Winner will advance on to the next round of the losers bracket. Empire had a surprising loss vs VP.Prodigy in the round 1, while RussianDrill expectedly lost to Prosti Esli. Empire is missing 1 player and they are playing with 2 standins, but I have a feeling that’s not just it. They have internal problems and struggles that are creating them real problems. Their roster changes and rotations won’t do them good. Empire are favourites here, but just because they are playing vs a bad team. RussainDrill has 3 losses in a row, 0 maps won. This can easily go to all 3 maps I believe, but overall, the Empire should take this even though they are unstable right now. Highly risked match for betting.

Brame vs Vikin.gg: Vikin.gg ML @ 1.30

Vikin.gg are one of the favourites to win 1st division. They did struggle vs HellRaisers in the round 1, but they managed to win 2-1 in the end. Brame is rising in form, that’s for sure. With their last wins vs Hellbear Smashers and Dota Team they are looking solid. They can surely take a map here and there but Vikin.gg is here to take this one. They need to go all the way, and they should outclass all other teams, as they are the highest level team out there. Their last clash was in late February and Vikin.gg took that victory to win a clean 2-0 result. Vikin.gg’s recent fail was in the grand finals of Snow Sweet Snow tournament where they’ve got crushed by Hellbear Smashers with 3-1. Surprising loss for them, but they should get this one.

Team Spirit vs Tundra: Tundra ML @ 1.98

Team Spirit are favourites here on most of the sportsbooks. However, Tundra is looking good, they gathered a nice lineup. With their experience and amazing Skiter they can surely make a surprise here. Both teams have 4 wins in a row. Spirit did beat High Coast Esports with 2-0 in the first round of the Division 1, while Tundra beat Winstrike with a close 2-1 squad. We can learn a lot from that match, since I think Winstrike is quite similar to Team Spirit. This is a value bet, odds on Tundra are amazing and I honestly believe they will have their opportunities. 3 maps are highly possible, and with good draft and picks Tundra can surely be competitive here. This is a 55-45 match in favour of Team Spirit, but everything is opened.

[DOTA 2, Tuesday March 16th] After 16 teams finished their group stage matches, EPIC League is now entering division mode. Top 8 and bottom 8 teams from the group stage are now split into 2 divisions. Today, we are following some matches from both divisions. Here are my picks and predictions for Tuesday matches.

VP.Prodigy vs Team Empire: Team Empire ML @ 1.62

Those two Russian teams will face each other in the upper bracket round 1. This will be the first clash between those two teams. Strangely enough, odds on Empire ML win are huge, if we take into account how big favourites here. This is the case where you need to use the odds into your favour. VP.Prodigy is a young unproven team and they are falling into the abyss. They have 5 losses in their last 5 matches, while Empire is doing slightly better with at least 2 wins out of 5 matches. Empire recently won vs PuckChamp and EXTREMUM, two respectable tier 2 teams from CIS region. And while those were their only wins, they’ve managed to take a map off Dota Team and Hellbear Smashers. I don’t believe the Empire will have an easy task, but they can surely win. -1.5 handicap is too risky, as I do think that VP.Prodigy will have their chances too, like in their series vs Gambit and Dota Team where they’ve managed to slightly complicate things. Decent odds on Team Empire win, and only logical bet here.

RussianDrill vs Prosti Esli: Prosti Esli ML @ 1.35

Those are the newest teams in the CIS region. Both teams have only 4 official matches so far, but looks like Prosti Esli was more successful in their matches. Both squads have only 1 victory from 4 matches and both squads won vs the same team, EXTREMUM, with the same 2-1 score. Prosti Esli managed to make a mess in all their matches, showing some nice effective plays. Basically, they didn’t fall easy in any of their matches, as they’ve managed to bring all their 4 matches to 3 maps. On paper, Prosti Esli looked way better. With their mix of players from Gambit, Unique and Natus Vincere they should be able to take this series and win. They are strong favourites and odds are not that bad at all.

[DOTA 2, Friday March 12th] For the end of this week, we are keeping our eyes on the EPIC League group stage and it’s 2nd playday in round 4 of the event. Two more days remain until the end and some teams are still fighting for the playoff spot in the Swiss-system format. Here are my picks and predictions for Friday.

Hellbear Smashers vs Winstrike: Hellbear Smashers ML @ 1.41

Winstrike did very good yesterday. Their series vs HellRaisers went to all 3 maps and ended up with a 2-1 in favour of Winstrike. That was the most important match for them, as they’ve got the last opportunity to fight for the division 1. Let me remind you, the winner of this match will qualify for the division 1 of the event, while the loser will fight in another series to make it happen. Hellbears surprised me yesterday. They crushed Vikin.gg with 3-1 in the grand finals of Snow Sweet Snow to win it all. If they can push that performance today, they will sure have the edge in the series. Those two teams played one time vs each other and that series went to Hellbear Smashers favour. It was 2-1. I do think they can repeat that.

PuckChamp vs HellRaisers: HellRaisers ML @ 2.41

Those two teams faced each other two times and their series were always close ones. Each team has one win and their matches always end up on 3 maps. Their latest match was a few days ago and in that clash PuckChamp were a little bit better with 2-1. However, I do believe this will be another close match, much close then odds are suggesting. Comparing the odds, PuckChamp are slightly favourites, but I do believe HellRaisers will have their opportunity too, even though they disappointed me in their last series vs Winstrike. Yes, they are on a 3 match losing streak and their form is not a top notch, but surprise is possible here. If you want to hit that juicy odds on Over 2.5 maps here, it’s a good bet too. Make your choice. I’m with HellRaisers ML here as I see a real value in this bet.

High Coast Esports vs Prosti Esli: High Coast Esports ML @ 1.88

This is a really hard one. The hardest bet of the day for sure. It will be really hard for the High Coast to beat Prosti Esli in this one. If I look at Prosti Esli’s roster, I see a lot of potential with players like 9pasha, illusion and eine. High Coast is not in such great form, not at all, to be able to easily beat Prosti Esli. This will be the most exciting match of the day and most unpredictable for sure. This will be Prosti Esli’s 4th official match since they’ve gathered their squad. On the other side, High Coast won their last series vs VP.Prodigy, but before that they didn’t do well in their series against Tundra and Winstrike. I feel like they can win this on experience only, and if we analyse all other aspects, Prosti Esli is in advantage. But I’m going with my hunch here, High Coast to win it, which in some cases doesn’t make any sense.

That odds is a little unattractive in my opinion, are they new teams that has popped up because I don't have any updates on who is currently the teams playing in DOTA2 for over 9 months now and I think that there has been a lot of changes especially in the meta.
Dota Team have a couple of the former VP players like Ramzes and Solo.

High Coast is basically the old NiP roster or Chicken Fighters if you've heard them back then.

Team Spirit took in the players of Yellow Submarine I think they're somewhat new as these guys started from the tier two scene and improved a lot similar to the new VP squad.

The meta didn't change that much but there was a lot of roster changes recently now that the first season ended on most regions.
That is pretty nice considering that Ramzes and Solo are sticking together in this new team, too bad that they are not VP anymore. I have heard of NiP, and I think that the team NiP was disbanded, pretty good that they are the same players that made another team. The only player that I know in Team Spirit is Illidan and that was a long time ago. Well, there are new items introduced in the game so I think that the meta will definitely change.
