ETH (Ethreum) has been anonced that 75% progress made toward the PoS.

When PoS on ETH will be activated what will be with the miners? Are they all go to ETC?
Can it push ETC to price grow?

How about ETH after PoS? Price will drop shortly after that?

What are your thought and why?
ETC has been 51% attacked too much and technically, it cannot compete with newer projects like ICP and HBAR. As to mining, most people will move to mining tokens on Ethereum like 0xMR or will switch to mining RVN, which will be used for tokenized real estate and stocks. Current art NFTs are just a testing ground and a hook to get people interested and using the technology. You will become an NFT, just as you are now a stock certificate (SS card and Birth Certificate).

this might be possible. But I think they will split in two. Some will stay on ETH, while the other will switch to ETC. But I think ETH will crush ETC anyway. I also think that miners will earn almost the same profits by staking their ETH. The founder of ETH will certainly improve his technology by calculating everything.

Why should miners make the price grow? They sell coins, never buy them.

Probably switch to POS will make ETH less inflationary so price may grow.
Miners can influence mining difficulty, like BTC miners do this now, and everybody realising that selling under price is idiotic. Yes they can artificially keep price over the price of mining with litle help of traders and this is how is formed minimal price.
With POS you don't have his, and if some big investor decide to exit, he can destroy coin if he dumps hard.

Yes, I think in long term the ETH price may stagnate if the mechanics of ETH continues like today. Because staking will generate a lot of ETH for few big and early players, they will just earn and sell their with at no extra cost.
The other negative thing is that you need to have a huge amount to participate.
I think solutions for waste of energy in mining can be implemented using memory hard algorithms, but it will break the ASIC investors.

eth profit is now cut in half at current market crash vs my last post, and your telling me that the other coins will survive once eth is out of the picture???  its going to be the ltc/vtc days where you make $1 a day and your electricity cost is $5 a day.....
Eth will be out of picture for miners. Remember that.

when eth goes pos it will be truely a piece of shtt coin

then all gpu miners will flock to etc and then etc will turn into the next vertcoin
its a cascading failure that will knock out etc, zec and zcl all at once.

where then gpu mining will collapse all together.
I really doubt this will happen. There are big things hidden on hardware mining. Nvidia and AMD are making GPU's Especifically to mine coins. This market is so profit, I believe more coins will rise to be mined, even if ETC, ZEC, ZCL get knocked down (What I do not believe).

when is PoS activation?

I read they want to switch before November 2017. Before that, its an hybrid with every 100 blocks is "mined" with PoS.

The miners definetly will change to another Ethash Coin. Maybe it will push the trading of this coin but in general i would say it will dump the price as there is just more offers on the market with the same demand.

Aren't they two different things? Why would the price of ETC relate to the price of ETH if it is ETH that has the most potential to go up in value?
ETH is likely going to go up in value.
I agree about ethereum but also understand why etc may grow as well. You see, miners have their hardware. They won't be able to use it really with ethereum after it switches to proof of stake system. Selling the hardware will also be unprofitable, because many people selling at once will cause the price on it going down. Thus, they are likely to start mining other coins. And perhaps, if they were used to eth, they'll choose something similar to it just not to make big changes. Thus, they might choose to mine etc after they can't mine eth.

I believe that will be a huge hashrate transfer when the announcement is made. Most people mining altcoin are there for the coins, and a change in that will make this coin not attractive anymore. ETC support will increase, and hopefully more developers also will help to improve the coin.

I am guessing that the price will go since there will be a lot of investors investing after the change from PoW to PoS, although the miners will probably go somewhere else after the change.

I'm waiting for eth to go to pos I am supporter of pos coins, because it's easy to mint a new coin and people will have to hold their coins stakes it,many people especially those who are pos supporters will adopt Ethereum.

I think that ETH price will increase after the PoS transition because from what I remember there would be some kind of masternode, where to stake you would need some minimum amount. But this information is more than one year old, so that might no longer be the case. But in case it is, for sure the price will increase permanently.

Definitely agreed.
Even ETH is switch to POS ,miners can stake their ETH on their wallet.
And ETH have a big potential to grow more in the market than ETC.

this is exactly what I thought. for long term, PoS is a better choice

ETH and ETC are totally different coins now, and decisions made in one team won't affect another. Yes this is very nice opportunity now for everybody in this crypto world to see what is better POS or POW,  and when this happening to an major altcoin we all can be silent witness. I don't remember we had same situation resently.

It will be interesting to see what happens when ETH goes POS. As for ETC, not sure what will happen there, most likely will follow the path it is on unless the ETH POS shows some real benefits over pow.

I think you are correct in some points, miners may switch to mine ETC because they don't want to keep all their mining hardware abandon. This will increase mining difficulty for ETC so price can go up naturally but it still needs someone to buy which is quite hard to get because DAO drainers have lots ETC which they can dump anytime. Nobody like to take risk of holding ETC.

it is very hard to say to be honest. ethereum price doesn't move like normal altcoins do! it is mostly based on the decision of whales, if they decide to pump it they will and if they decide to take some money out and shake out, they will do that.
all the rest of these things like PoS, PoW, fork, DAO scandal,... are irrelevant when you have a lot of money and control.
