Some will go to Ethereum Classic, but not all. In fact, I guess most of them will head toward ZCash. And also, rigel is right, miners put pressure, do not buy. It will not make the price fall, because the total ETC created per day is still the same, but it will not make it rise either.

With POS you don't have his, and if some big investor decide to exit, he can destroy coin if he dumps hard.

not really if you have very good distributed coins like EHT has there is no such thread man Smiley
ETH had live over time bigger ICO eth dumps so i don't see problems here coin have BIG volume so it will eat nicely dumps and add masternode with will make price x4-x10 ^^

PS: ETH will have scaling with POS while ETC won't have any scaling just increasing blocksize.

ETH (Ethreum) has been anonced that 75% progress made toward the PoS.
That's just a progress, There is no exact date when the Proof of stake will be implemented.
When PoS on ETH will be activated what will be with the miners? Are they all go to ETC?
Can it push ETC to price grow?
Nope, it will not bring anything for the ethereum classic except a new miner will come to mine it and dump to the market. Ethereum still can keep his miners to securing the network through increasing the transaction fees.

How about ETH after PoS? Price will drop shortly after that?
THe supply gets limited, There is no more inflation to prevent the price still going up everytime.

Why should miners make the price grow? They sell coins, never buy them.

Probably switch to POS will make ETH less inflationary so price may grow.

this could be true at first, but then when buyers will accumulate enough coins for their interest from pos, the interest will be dumped and cause the price to fall, i see always this pattern when talking about pos coins, they are good at first but bad later, when the distribution will be centralized because someone decided to buy a big amount and get free coins from pos staking to dump on the market

Miners can influence mining difficulty, like BTC miners do this now, and everybody realising that selling under price is idiotic. Yes they can artificially keep price over the price of mining with litle help of traders and this is how is formed minimal price.

Aren't they two different things? Why would the price of ETC relate to the price of ETH if it is ETH that has the most potential to go up in value?
People want the Ethereum price to rise, ETC does not have that many people that care for it compared to ETH unless we are discussing about two different things here.

ETH is likely going to go up in value.

Definitely agreed.
Even ETH is switch to POS ,miners can stake their ETH on their wallet.
And ETH have a big potential to grow more in the market than ETC.
