i still say it is not possible.
and the reason is very simple. apart from ETC being the same crappy code as ETH and having lots of bugs and problems, there is always going to be a big roadblock on the way to go up. and that roadblock is called Ethereum foundation.

ETC is like a thorn in their eye. the don't want to ever see it succeed. and they own about 70+ million ethereum which was doubled so they have the same amount on ETC after the fork and history has proven that they will dump to prevent the rise. and then use the money to pump ETH.

Today I saw price of ETC is 2 mbtc, little more, and on poloniex it have good trading volume, and I was thinking is it etc good coin for investing? Now I'm looking what I'd new here and I see this topic, if your guess is accurate March 2018 is not so far, that means that etc is good coin for investing now while it's not expensive. I will think about this more seriously.

The ETC has low hashing rate, so it is quite vulnable to certain attacks.

If the price is higher, more people will mine it.

~1000 posts and still didnt learn anything. You compare a 100 mil. supply with a mini supply (dash), really? Totally different techs and purposes.

I am not in favor of both but still dash is more valid as a finance coin than ETH is. Watch the ETH Enterprise Conference. All companies said they'll not use the public chain, instead they build their own chains. Companies and GOV want control over their assets and chains. There is no need for them to use the public chain.

So yes, ETH can reach 100$ but it is then just a huge bubble bubble

ETH has more developer support.

ETC has deflationary policy, ETH is run by a few that pass changes when only 6% of people vote.

Right now i can't really see that ETC is going to the moon any time soon.

In fact it is slowly dying. User interest was amazing for like the first couple of weeks when the coin got out, and then just dropped to a level close to zero afterwards. Ethereum is quite dominant right now.

With the soaring bitcoin price, you'd probably had made more with investments in bitcoin instead of altcoins.
