Not ETH but ETC will see $100.
question is when?

Not sure, I don't think that we will see it any time soon. Right now it is under $10 and moving sideways all the time. I just can't see it going up to $100, all of a sudden, especially when Ethereum still has majority support.

When fiat depreciates though it is very likely that $100 is psosible.

It is more possible for the ETH to see the $100. It still has quite active development at the moment. They are working.

ETC volume has also dropped drastically making it even harder to go up to 1 digit price values. the $100 is a hyped up dream that can not even happen with the main manipulated brother of it (ETH) so you shouldn't even be expecting such changes for this throw away chain.

I really did believe in ETC but I think it's dead now, there seems to be no development towards it.

Charles Hoskinson, who was quite vocal about supporting ETC during the rise, seems to have disappeared from the ETC scene?

I retract this statement, he has recently hired 7 developers to work on ETC

Never go with this price, $100/ETC is like a dream, need a magical moment to see ETC price go to $100 even just in $15, and we can see ETC price now, when ETC launched investor just want to see what the different ETC from another coin but investor get bored and the price down rapidly

If the ETC still copies code from the ETH, it will give people no confidence. So the price will never be higher than ETH.

It will be interesting to see how ETC develops and to see if it's going to diverge away from ETH code / ideas. I do agree that if it continues copying ETH it will never overtake ETH

If we see 100$ for ETC, that will be because Bitcoin has pumped hardly, not because ETC did so.

have you compared the charts lately? if not do it now.

with each bitcoin price rise there is 2x dump on each altcoin market. so if bitcoin was pumped hardly ETH would have died and ETC would have turned into ash.

Let it grow at least till 30 USD  Smiley
Never, it will never reach over 5 dollars.... Cool They will stuck at that place. Tell me the truth, what makes a fork for going over the ETHER price?
I don't see anything was becoming the firm reason for that.
They hadn't powered for that.

Maybe when bitcoin reaches $10,000 we might see ETC that high. ETC is kind of a joke alt. It's not really gonna see anything that high.  Embarrassed

if bitcoin price incraese all altcoin can down price
so if bitcoin price incraese until reach 10k dollar is very bad to altcoin
you can see after bitcoin price up, all altcoin price down , not equal up too

Even the Ethereum price is under 8 dollars now. So it is not very possible for the ETC price to go to 100 dollar soon.

My understanding is that the Ethereum project is planning to move to Proof of Stake some time next year. That has been the plan for a while, and the move has been hard-coded into the source code through what is colloquially referred to as the 'difficulty bomb.'

Ethereum Classic, on the other hand, intends to remain on a Proof of Work scheme and have opted to diffuse the difficulty bomb to allow miners to continue operating profitably.

A move to PoS for Ethereum means all current mining equipment will become obsolete, so it's expected a major portion of the hash-rate currently supporting the Ethereum network will shift to Ethereum Classic, cause a massive surge in price. Nowhere near $100, but several multiples of what it is currently trading for.

Can anyone confirm any of the above? I've looked around a bit, but accurate information is somewhat sparse and somewhat convoluted.

The Ethereum is not dead yet. The price has been over $8 now. It has recovered from around 7 dollars already.
In fact Ethereum is getting a pump now. Ethereum's price during last 24 hours spiked to $8.60 as we had more than 3% total price gain.
It seems like every major coin is gaining upward trend today...

ETH will die with his fork(ETC).

He was feeling shame for that. And it was embarrassing for him.

Well it is still gradually decrease from $14 before and now we are seen $8 per eth and i think it can be decrease more.. snce they have slow adoption and i think they are focus in bitcoin because many people are saying that bitcoin will increase more soon so i think the other investors exchange into bitcoin and stay.. and ethereum are uses only for gambling and there is no other use for ETH..

If ETC go to 100$ it will be 3,000,000$ inflation a day. The market will not sustain such a load.

It might happen in a few decades that the ETC will reach $100. But it is more likely to be dead if there is no development.
