It was supposed that BTCD handled the anon of UNITY, NXT is part of UNITY  coin shuffling tru ORA is not very clear to some peoples yet, I guess, However I do not think it affects a lot in an increase in the price but in the end who knows really. Unity  is like a blender of technique who knows if the end result.

Jean-Luc is developing coin shuffling independently.

Good points, guys....the two main weaknesses I can see in Nxt right now are marketing and accessibility.
All the tech works pretty much perfectly, that's been proven over the last 2 years. Devs and community are solid, too.
But we do need better/more marketing, and a genuinely easy user experience.

Luckily, I've been working like a little maniac (as part of the Nxt Foundation) on a solution for our marketing shortcomings, and we are also exploring ways of making Nxt (and thru Nxt, crypto in general) more accessible for the average guy in the street. The NAUT/Drachmae project has been a real learning experience in a lot of ways.

So yeah, onwards and upwards..... Grin

@sumantso
Damelon is still very much around, he just got a bit fed up with BTT for some reason.
I'll pass on your regards...... Wink

Didn't it occur to you that maybe no one's interested in NXT despite all the "good news"?  No offense, but how else can you explain it?  Maybe the people behind NXT needs to do a better job to get the word out.  And by word out I mean not here in this forum.

Its not a simple matter of getting the word out. Maybe this token is of not much real use inspite of all the features being added.

The NXT community on Bitcointalk is a funny one. They have one attack dog who keeps barking at others, and a bunch of other supporters who pretend to be fair minded and open but all they do is make snide comments when given the chance. They had one sound guy, named something like Dameleon but he is not visible now.

Sometimes crypto makes me just go "wtf ? "

Ethereum announces that they've nearly run out of cash, won't be able to finish the project.......and the price goes up.
Nxt rolls out a major project in Greece with few hitches, and has a great conference presence in Rotterdam with loads of good PR......the price drops.

I'll be over here, banging my head against the wall for a while............ Huh

Not to be a jerk or sound arrogant, but I think it's pretty obvious what the deal is.

For the most part, no one gives a shit what kind of tech you roll out or what it's potential is.

Most of the people in the crypto space are day trading junkies who care if they can flip the shit for a profit in the next 5-30 minutes.

Building complex projects in Greece? Conferences? What does that do for them? You aren't gonna draw in their lot like that. (Who make up the majority atm)

People like Bitcoin because it's simple and works in doing what it claims it can do. These 2.0 platforms are just a big Huh? for most people. Failing to see your own weaknesses and thinking of how to compensate for them is one of the biggest blunders to be had IMO.

It is natual for their price to fluctuate a lot in crypto world. If they keep developing, they would bounce back.

Maybe.  But then again maybe not.  Think about it...

To be fair, considering Bitcoin dropped from $1,100 to $230 one could argue no one wants Bitcoin too. The reality is it is still a young and volatile industry and until the big players jump in this is what to expect.

Do you think NxT is gonna rise?

yes, especially if they release Freemarket & Supernet.  All Bitcoin2.O coins rise in value when they release new features. NXT, ETH, XCP, BTS, ETC. EZ money.

And then falls again?  I think he meant if it's going to rise and go up for good, like Bitcoin.

ETH development is taking longer than people hoped, that is all.

The price is still far above the 2000 etc/btc presale price (50,000 satoshi)

How can you say tho with a straight face BTC was nearly 3 times higer than it is now
At at 2000/btc rate.

So its actuly closer to 700 eth per btc

Ethereum was just a fun experiment, even if it's dev team is strong, mining and running a node is just too hard for the newbies to jump into it, if they manage it at all. NxT on the other hand...
