Is different technology than bitcoin, but is backed up by millionares, so yes.
Though Bitcoin is the leader of all the Cryptocurrency but the next highest valued Cryptocurrency coin is Ethereum. Ethereum will be $1000 and more in 2018 by all means. Ethereum Prize is growing at the same time as bitcoin's price rises day by day. Today's current rate is 1 ETH = 470$ but rate is fluctuating.
It will get better and better. The number of ethereum users is growing, there are a huge number of projects that uses ethereum as their primary method of transaction. And the price is rising nicely!
if people believe bitcoin can be a million, then ETH can be 10,000 easilzy or even 100,000.
bitcoin and ether going strong day by day i hope ether cross $5,000 and bitcoin cross $10,000 in this November.
5000$ for eth, could not happen within this year, may be you are trying to say 500$. Bitcoins also soaring high and expected to reach 10K by the end of this year. No doubt by next year etherium will sure double its value, I cant wait to see what happen's by next year. 
I think this is only the beginning of the upward trend of ETH. He has many events for the coming year. I think $ 800 we'll see by spring 2018. Well this is my personal opinion;)
Finally Ethereum is rising too. It is near 500$ and I expect that in Q1 2018 could be even 1000$. I will just hold and see what will happen.

ETH has a great potential and it has a sensible road map and surely someday its going to be a toughest competitor to bitcoin but looking at the recent pump in the price and looking at it's progress so far it really feels like rebirth of bitcoin or we are going through the initial days of bitcoin again.

Yes ETH is proving to be the next big thing and might give bitcoin a strong competition if survives those financial crisis and regulatory issues which bitcoin has been through and yes ethreum has a large community as well let's hope for best and a smooth transition of ETH from an underdog to the main-event.
With the growth of Bitcoin this year,everyone have realise that a coin can go beyond 100%, ETH has a good potential to moon,lot of Altcoin are on the ETH platform
ETH as always been strong, it is just its value that was not yet rated correctly. I think it is still underated, but as every good project it needs time to come to the eyes of investors and newcomers that don't know yet the blockchain technologies and the world of crypto currencies.
Anyway, smart contract projects have beautifull days in front of them, I do not doubt that at all.

Yes, I also believe in ETH. Vitaly Buterin gave the news that they are preparing Etherium 2.0, I think this will give a strong push to the price. $ 500 by the end of the year is my forecast.
It is like bitcoin before with less value and now the price is very expensive! eth will continue to grow in this coming months and years.

BTC and ETH going strong, somehow this makes me quite worry.
i really chair your worries about bitcoin but am not about ether because i have been hedling up some of it i hope it will reach out a good price the up coming days. 
ETH is very good and strong cryptocurrency.At this moment ETH hits on $500.It's amazing.I hopeful this year ETH going on $1000.It's price increasing is very strong.I would wait for see when the time to come then eth price increase over Thousand dollar.
