There is no point in being so negative, it is true the price is not showing a lot of movement however reaching a price of 500 by the end of the year is completely possible, that does not mean that it's going to happen but it is a possibility and you should not discard it just because at the moment it doesn't seem very likely that it's going to happen because we know the market of cryptocurrencies changes very fast.

Most people agree that Ethereum value can go up to the $2500 range in 2 years. I personally aiming for $2500 before 2020. But not this year...

2500 its impossible for such market like this. its 25 time more than now. Do you really think It can happen? This year is not like 2017. Maybe ETH can do such jump like this in the end of 2019

I have faith with ETH as well and that's why I never sold when it's able to reach $500 before dropping to $165.

I don't regret of not selling though there's a chance. I know that the price would increase soon in the upcoming years to come. And we've got some event to wait until Vitalik is finish with the implementation of Casper which is believed to increase the price soon.

ETH fundamentals and utility has not changed and it remains a top coin to hold. Nobody has got the future price forecasts right and any high prices will need the bull trend to resume first.

I still have huge faith in ETH, and I think the price will be much higher in the long-term and even medium-term.
Short-term though who knows? I've been expecting a recovery for a while, but at least we have some stability now after months of drops.

Even though ETH is still a great coin to buy and hold, it needs the bull run in overall market to rise just like all other coins. Even going to $1000 by year end looks very hard currently.

Experts have predicted it will appreciate further before the end of the year and there's no reason why it can't if the market improves, but first of all Bitcoin needs to move out of its current range before other major assets like Ethereum can begin to gain some momentum and set a trend for further increases in value

so far this is only a dream. we still have roughly 2 months though. i have no Eth but I have lots of altcoins based on Eth blockchain so once eth gains, im pretty sure alts will be affected too right?

if you are an active participant in the cryptocurrency life, then you should understand how far Ethereum comes to understand that this is a coin with great prospects. I always believe in positive news, and also expect a huge jump in price by October 2018. but the price of $ 2500 until the end of December is unlikely. the market in 2019 will be quiet.

And even reaching that price will be kind of difficult in the next year since the excitement people had for cryptocurrencies has almost vanished and they are not ready to invest in the market for several reasons, the first is that most people do not have any more money anymore since they invested everything in the market already and another reason is that they are afraid that another collapse happens in the next months.
