XRP is a pretty good altcoin. but I don't think XRP can replace bitcoin, in terms of price it is also very different, besides that we also know that bitcoin has the biggest capitalization on the market, it's impossible for XRP / ETH to replace bitcoin.

I think ETH in the future will replace BTC and become the number one crypto in the market. But now the price of this market is very low, and I think the price of ETH will go up more than $1,000 in the year 2020 if the cryptocurrency market recover.
I believed ETH is one of the potential altcoins in the market and among top 1 useful too in terms of ICO projects here.
But as long as Bitcoin is exist in this business industry ETH can't able to replace bitcoin in terms of its value in the market.

Both are the excellent coins but I believe on ETH more than XRP. because ETH proved itself and it has more potential than XRP.

Both coins has the potential of being a good quality coin, but for me, if i plan to invest, i rather choose ethereum coin since it is good on long term investment, and it has the potential to increase high percentage because it has the second most volume coin in the market, ranking second just next to bitcoin.
It seems that XRP in a few months the price will go up and this is only my prediction. XRP provides excellent motivation when this coin is able to pass ETH. This BTC and ETH are still very popular coins until now. But when the XRP is able to pass through ETH and it also doesn't last long. Because ETH returns to show its quality and the coin can return to number two.
I wouldnt bet too much on XRP. Eg. IBM uses XLM for money transactions and already convinced 6 banks to use it, too. IBM has the contacts and market share to push XLM way further into the banking sector.

I like to agree with that, ETH and XRP are major coins, due it's trading volume and the success of its price. However, they have different purpose, XRP is centralized while ETH is decentralized, who would survive and be more popular in the future, that we didn't know and only thing we know is to back what coin we believe will give us profit.

First, XRP is not even a cryptocurrency, it's just a centralized premined token that has nothing to do with the main purpose of crypto: decentralization.
ETH has proven its value overtime, it has a real utility as most of ICOs are still based on erc20 platform.

Therefore, you and Killat are wrong when you said XRP is not cryptocurrency. But, I dont advice anyone to invest in XRP cause I dont trust much in it either and if you watch the current graph price of ETH, it have the growth with BTC which mean ETH is the best coin to invest in now.
Until now ethereum remains the best altcoin. with various supports, ethereum has a large community so the price of ethereum can be much more stable. I really like ethereum because it has a platform that is widely used by various projects and this is an added value because ethereum can have a very large transaction volume.
