My answer is ETH and he is categorical, I think and I hope that cryptocurrencies such as ETH will still improve their position in relation to everything and I have nothing left but to just choose ETH as this is the engine.
I don't think XRP is the future.
My presumption is that there will be certain market segments for different coins:
Bitcoin - the original
Litecoin - bitcoins silver, the test network for a lot of development for bitcoin
A privacy coin (like zcash)
A contract coin (like ethereum)
Any other coin thats going to survive will need developers that are actually pushing for new technology.

Both of these coins did try to be on top, and the team's performance was good enough so that the development of the XRP and Eth always seemed to compete. Support from various parties always came so that Eth would not abandon his commitment.
so choosing both will be better because you choose Altcoin that is good and has great power.if you have both of these coins, the chances that you get will be even greater, these two coins will try hard to improve because their work team is good so that the future of ETH and XRP will be bright.
Exactly, the movements of these two coins are quite good and continue to compete, currently having a value that provides benefits. Although many people think this is a pump, this has already benefited.
Xrp is not that powerful to be next on bitcoin. It should be eth, ethereum has the volume per transaction largest before btc. So when picking other coin besides btc, eth will be my pick. It was existing in years so would likely to say thats it has already had strong foundation to stand any trouble on the market situation
that's just according to your predictions, if I personally find it difficult for XRP to outperform the market more than bitcoin, that is very unlikely! even ethereum, which has a market capitalization above XRP, not necessarily able to replace bitcoin I don't think that will happen.
I also thinking that there have no altcoins who can overtake Bitcoin. Cause Bitcoin is the mother of all crypto currencies. Xrp and Etherium have good protensial but it’s impossible for them to replace Bitcoin.
This is an apples and oranges comparison. ETH is a smart contract platform and XRP is a cryptocurrency for cross-border transactions. Both have their niche and should do well.
I’m not a fan of Xrp but i made some money from it because of its volatility in past.

Oblviouylsy ETH most promising that XRP. I really don'y understant why people support ripple? It's just a joke coin wich have no future imho. I believe in ETH and Vitalik Buterin, ethereum network was updated , and it will be again. SO what abouy XRP updates?
I think ETH is better and better than Ripple, the thing that makes ETH always be used is the number of tokens that develop the Ethereum platform, so ETH will never die.
Both are good and has the potential, in fact both have already proven they will be develop and we can see that on their value. ETH so far is just a crowd favorite, but then again if you will just try to analyze, it was XRP who have succeed more than ETH in terms of value.

I hope investors will concentrate on both these coins because after Bitcoin these two coins are generating very huge volume in the market and even though their prices are very low with the market recovery we can see some changes in terms of prices. When it comes investment i prefer to choose both these two coins because long term investment is always good for both these coins.

I think so ETH or XRP any coins will never replace BTC because of the cryptocurrency market it is understood to look at. But yes ETH is a demandfull coin in the crypto market and more volume/supply daily process. I Only accept ETH to invest in ICO and something trading.

BTC supplies only 21 million, and now there are 3 or 4 million BTC in the system. even though there is a little more BTC, we will also find it difficult to get BTC. then, it will take a long time. 2024 or 2026 are predicted that BTC supplies will run out.

for now I am still investing in Ethereum and for the future it might be true if Ethereum is very difficult to replace Bitcoin because last year there was a considerable decline and until now it is still difficult to return to normal.
I think these two coins are both good with different use case. In my opinion, I would choose Eth over XRP. Come to think of it, ethereum has gotten more acceptance than xrp, it is even used more and known by so many people unlike xrp.
