After the 2 years of bear market for altcoins especially for ETH, I think people will stop expecting that ETH will reach to $1,000.
I am not saying all of us but maybe majority of us because we see how it struggle and we just want a price movement that would result to recover.
Maybe a slow movement but not a pump and dump would help and with that I am not expecting it will happen if bitcoin will not reach at least $15k.

I see a great future for ETH in 2020 but the team has to work on allot of things. New projects are not preferring ETH over other blockchain to have their coins in the early phase. Especially when Binance is having its own blockchain and there are projects which jumped from NEO and ETH to BEP. The team needs to work on the things and have to plan ahead.
Most new projects don't choose ETH blockchain, so it makes many people no longer interested in ETH. From there, the ETH price continued to go down and showed no sign of recovery. In the future if this situation continues, I think ETH price could even go down to $ 50, ETH team needs to work harder and have more updates, otherwise their project will be lagged behind other new projects

You are absolutely right, Ethereum did not perform well in this year. The present price is just unbearable for me because the Ethereum price should stay at least 200$! That's mean Eth price is unpredictable for the 2020 year, it's normal that everyone expects a higher price for ETH, but now I think Eth price will not be higher than 250-300$ in 2020! Let's see what Eth 2.0 and Bitcoin halving bring for us.
I am worried that the price of ETH is soaring that I am collecting it and selling some tokens from my work as a bounty, I keep ETH in my wallet and plus the current price is cheap I will not complain because I believe in 2020 the price of ETH will touch close to $ 1000, the current price down I can sell tokens to get some ETH so that it's easier to collect for stock in my bag, the cheaper the price of ETH everyone small traders and investors can collect it easily now

I think a lot will depend on whether the upcoming fork will be done without surprises. If it succeeds, the ETH price will definitely rise. If the bull run does not come in 2020 then $500 is very possible. If the bull run comes in 2020 then at the end of this year we will definitely see no less than $1500
I agree. It seems the fate of Ethereum including its price in the next year will be highly determined according to the result of the hard fork. I am positive though that the fork will come out successful and the Ethereum network will be transformed into a much better one, one that is more advanced in terms of speed especially. If everything will happen according to plan, it might shoot to around $1,000.
