I wonder why there's not a lot of XRP supporter in this forum, most of them choose ETH and BTC, but XRP is really showing well, actually taken the 2 spot again as ETH has significantly dropped, these 2 are in competition and XRP is still cheap at the moment compared to ETH which is already over $100.

If we consider BTC as the main coin, ETH is the main platform.
Many new platforms appears day by day but they cannot easily outperform ETH.
It has a good development team and there will be a major upgrade in January 2019.

The popularity of ETH is not tied to anything, except for the fact that its platform is very much useful for ICOs. Getting or creating smart contract on ethereum platform is much easier that any other platform.
I also got to know that ICOs prefer that, because it makes their work earlier. I could remember coming across a project that used the platform of another coin, but while sending tokens they were done manually. Whereas for it is automatically dine on ethereum's platform even at a go.

Now there are competitors. And in the near future the market may change. Klonechno ETH will not go anywhere anymore, as hundreds of projects are based on it. However, I think in the coming years the EOS and the Waves will be able to catch up.

eth !! what's this? never heard, I must be completely disconnected, I don't know how i missed such popular money, the only one I know is only the BTC.
