5000?
It is serious idea. But I don't think it will go for 5000 easily. It may be done but not in short time.
For this to happen, it must first be more independent against Bitcoin. The bitcoin price is still very much affected. Ethereum is the strongest on the market in my opinion. But the effect of Bitcoin is still too much.

Where did you get all the prices of Ethereum? end of the year would be 10,000 per ETH and i believe that the impact of bitcoin can help the whole market capitalization. Invest your money Wisely. ETHEREUM is the next bitcoin.
I fully agree that many ICO projects create their own tokens based on ethereum. The number of projects in 2018 will grow, while populating ethereum. But it is unlikely that the price of ethereum in 2018 will reach $ 5000. For the ether it will be an achievement to grow to 2500-3000 $. Purely my opinion.

Not going to reach that easily,not until bitcoin's price has surged up to $30k + those altcoins behind bitcoin will surely grow and will surpass their all time high record,that is possible when the king has grow to much,causing most of the altcoins in the market grow bigger.Lets just hope that these ICOs will be successful so that these altcoins will grow more. it can be, but i think whit the unstable ETH price in market now make me worried that ETH cant reach that price in the end of this year.
I think that more than 3000 $ this year the etherium will not grow, a lot of competitors have appeared.

If in this year ETH price keep increasing the same as last year I think it'll reach to at least 6 or 7k$ by the end of this year instead of 5k$. LOL. It is still not easy for ethereum. It needs some more time to reach on 5k. In my opinion, 5k is not little amount for ethereum. But ethereum has great future to reach on it.
Yeah, it has the potential to exceed for more than that, since such Manny ICO is using it as payment for their tokens and they don't accept cash or Bitcoin as payment, it means more user more possibility to increase its price.

Basically is a good idea on that prize to be 5000 USD or even more. Because many project make use of ETH. and is working perfectly and well secured with a private key. Secondly, many exchange market make used of ETH for transaction, because of it great potential and with a highly demand, and supply with a rapid response on buy and sell..
That means almost capitalization of the market at the moment, I think ETH will rise to $ 3000 at the end of the year.

Completely realistic and possible in my opinion. Ethereum is still in its infancy stages if you ask me and still has a long way to go. Currently, it is grossly undervalued and will rise to $2000 in the near future and I foresee it reaching $3500 by the end of this year. I think it might touch $5000 by the middle of next year and my reasons for making these predictions are the upcoming integration of the lightning network which will help bitcoin surge in a major way causing many other altcoins to surge along with it which includes Ethereum which is why I am HODLING my coins.

for me, maybe ethereum can reach to 5k and above, as you said most ico's using this platform. and now the price i think is stable, and making a great resistance to, this year i think will hit 3k and will double it maybe in 2020. that's only my thoughts.

To be honest that a realistic value for Etehreum by the end of 2018. Bitcoin went from $2000 to $21000 in no time. Why shouldn't ethereum be able to do the same?
Excellent point. The future can not be predicted at this point. I think $5000 is in the upper realms of possibilities, But I can definitely see it go upwards of 2000, maybe up to 3000 or 40000
