if buterin continues to do good work and the market gets better then ETH will also rise again strongly. but at the moment the market is very restless. i don't expect the $500 anymore this year. but in two years,so september 2020 i expect a rate of $2000 or higher. then there will also be many more crypto friends in the world

Short-term ETH is unlikely to hit $500 unless the whole market has a massive bull run.
Long-term though I think ETH is extremely likely to pass $500. It's a great project, and still the leading smart contract platform.

we all hope that, i think that was a possible number to hit in the end of the year. we all in crypto hope that in the end of the year bullrun bitcoin and ethereum is gonna be back to their high value. so let's just wait and see

I really believe ethereum will be alive again. Especially now that ghost month will end . So many investors again will invest to cryptoworld and I really think that #1 choice of some investors is ethereum. So possible that ethereum will atleast go back to not just 500 dollar but in 700-800 dollar value.
Yes this can bounce back to that level once the market had done with the bloodbath. I think this will take enough time before we can see a rally for ETH. Just be patient to wait for the recovery.

$500 for this year will be possible because Ethereum has already reach ATH of $1400 before so it will be possible to reach that value again. Ethereum platform is the most commonly used by the most ICO to support their project in which when the time of the Bullish market will come then for sure the real demand of Ethereum will going to increase too.
I think that there is no one that really doubts that Ethereum will reach 500$. A better question is how high can Ethereum go in the future, and in my opinion it can reach the value of 2000-2500$ in the next bull run.
Now I hope that the ETH will rise to $ 500. I will sell all the ethics I hold, so I think the market will recover by the end of the year.

Yes definitely. But it might take a few months for the BTC price to recover and then ETH price will follow.

For sure. Don't listen or post in those silly threads that say otherwise. ETH is having challenges, yes, but ETH is DEALING with it. Just take a look at all the developments going on in their github page (https://github.com/ethereum/). You may not feel it yet because changes aren't implemented yet, but rest assured many issues and challenges are being addressed and the platform is regular being updated.
Of course, the Ethereum will cost more than $ 500 when the market rests, but for now it's just worth waiting for because it's not avoidable.

If you are interested in a specific number, year, day, month, then no one will be able to give you an answer to this question. Nobody can see the future. The only thing that can be said for sure is that the upward movement will be, but when and until which level, it is not known. Maybe some fresh project will take over some of the ETH funds, who knows. Quarkchain for example or NEO.
