ETH at 2k that too in 2 months, atleast if had said even 2 years would have sort of make people think about it. Currently approx. price of ETH has fallen from 240$ to 218$ since btc is on downtrend and has fallen from 9500 to 8900$. In order for even ETH to rise till 500$ itself may take some time as it will depend upon the move of the btc.
since this thread was made and until now we have never seen ethereum reach the price mentioned by the OP. in my opinion ethereum can reach 2k if bitcoin has a price of 20k or more. if bitcoin only stays at a price of less than 15 me then ethereum will not be more than 1k
If bitcoin cross the previous ATH (All Time High) than we will see some dump on the alts because it'll happen in terms of satoshi not in usd. So, eth won't reach 2k afterwards of the new bitcoin's ATH. But eth will reach it when bitcoin will make a new ATH and stable in a price range, just like now where bitcoin's price trade between the $9k to 10K zone after the halving. 
I agree with you. Bitcoin is the coin that decides everything that happens next in this market.
Still the basis inside this entire crypto market, bitcoin movements still the big influenced around crypto market.
The altcoin season will return if the value of this coin continues to rise in a short span of time.
If bitcoin shows strong positive movements, alts mostly follows the run especially those well known projects.
However, this market is very volatile, and you need to consider carefully before buying because if you choose the wrong time to buy, you will easily lose money when investing in this market.
You need to make a good set up plans in case you mistakenly position yourself, having mid to long term
plans if ever your short trade failed to materialized.

bitcoin once hit a price of $ 20k, but in reality, the ethereum price didn't even touch the price of $ 1.5k. actually we can't see it that way. ethereum prices can increase if their use increases. at this time, people are expecting the development of ethereum 2.0. if the price goes up, the potential might make ethereum prices reach thousands of dollars again, it's just that it still needs help from bitcoin price increases.
This is very unrealistic that Ethereum will $2000 in just only two months. But, one thing here to think about that it running a bull market or it is just in the first stage of the bull. So, if it is a first stage of the ladder then may be it is possible that ETH price go to the $2000 but it will take time may be six month.
This is a continues question until the ETH reached the said amount(though i doubt it will happen in the next 2 years more)
500$ maybe possible if the price of Bitcoin starts to rally again to at least 15k$ .
You are right. $ 500 looks more reasonable. don't expect too much. buy now and hope a pretty good increase. no need to be greedy with too high hopes. 2 weeks after posting this the price of Ethereum starts to fall and did not even reached $1,500 so reality talks that 2k is far from happening not that time and not even now.i don't know if the 2.0 Version will bring higher but it must be released first.

Not impossible as Ethereum price now is kicking and still increasing day by day . I am really expecting this year that Ethereum price will be better and make a big changes in price.
Every ETH lover thinks the same as you, l believe also that ETH will have a better price till the end of the year. That is right the price of ETH is increasing from day to day, but in my mind, everybody just waits for ETH2.0, after a new update ETH will be better than right now, no doubt there will be a good effect on the ETH price. l think ETH2.0 can not help ETH to reach 2k, 2k is so far from reality.

your opinion is very I agree, it will not be possible for the next 2 months ethereum will be able to reach $ 2K. to remember that ethereum can only reach highs at $ 1,400 more. Based on what exactly? Looking at the history, i would wonder that where can you get any indication that it would hit ath before bitcoin does? So my short answer is: No, why would it?

Nope. I think it will be lucky to reach $400 in 2 months.
Recovery will not happen in a few months time...maybe soonest is by end of this year?
