Maybe this the reason behind why ETH price drop from $190 to 125 I think so, because of Jeff wilcke moved 90k eth from his wallet to karken crypto exchange on 25th of December and now panic sellers start to dumpling the eth I thought this the best time to buy eth before bull market comes into crypto market.

The timeframe isnt matched from 190 to 125 so I guess this event its not the reason of the eth down fall. I think its the market sentiment. Not just eth is falling down but all crypto including btc so I guess this news is recently got viral. Though the price is stable on its current level. Plus the amount of token is not that huge and can be traded on some high volume exchange.

it seems like a lot of support regarding this. I also feel that it is normal for several people to sell their assets in large quantities. in fact, until now the price of ETH was not affected by it. however, there is likely another reason why he sold his assets. Yeah, but I think that's a lot of money. but I appreciate ethereum which is not affected by the sale.

The market is free to buy and sell. It cannot be considered different because of his uniqueness. If you are optimistic about Ethereum, I think you can ignore such things. Compared to last year, the price of Ethereum has fallen a lot. Now the price is also Very stable, of course. Now that you are not bullish on Ethereum, you can also sell Ethereum. He cannot be treated specially because of his personal differences.

I think this is not true at all when something that big has been sold, the effect on price in the market is also big. But as you can see, the price hasn't moved down after that incident. This is just to make the hodlers panic they want to see ETH to further fall its price to under $100 so that they can pump it again and sell it fast at it's peak after this month. we better not fall on this kind of deception.

It's not the reason. Ethereum is dropping because the whole ICO fad is over (ICOs built on top of ethereum supported the ETH price as you had to buy ETH in order to participate in the ICOs).

There is no unique selling point for ETH anymore, which is why investors are bailing out.

That is the power of blockchain, you can't hide transactions.
And about the transaction, I do not understand why team members dumping Ethereum at this low price, I thought that they do everything to see ETH back at ATH price.

Really? I am happy for eth fans. But I think of you believe on that news I think you are one of many investors who will be victim is their huge marketing strategy. All we know that using that kind of news is the best marketing strategy to encourage investors and users to invest at eth. So always have a reliable research before you believe.

I don't think so. He has only been moving his ETH for the past few days, and the price of ETH has started to decline since 2 months ago. So I think it has nothing to do with each other, the decline in ETH price was due to Bitcoin's decline and it caused the entire altcoin to fall with it. And with the amount of ETH like this I don't think it will affect the price much, just a small amount compared to the whales.

I agree with some people who say in this thread that it is his personal money, so there is no illegitimate and need to worry about a large dump, it seems he did not throw too much and the ETH price is not under $ 100 too, so back to the founder not necessarily he wants to drop the price of ETH deeper than now, so there is no time to discuss this issue, because this is not a problem but it is his right to sell his assets because he has worked for ethereum

I think there is nothing wrong with that, everyone also needs funds. If he sells it doesn't mean they left him, because Eth still has Eth stock in his possession

I guess 90,000 eth that he sold is not much impact the ethereum price, no sign of dump. If you look the market almost all the prices of altcoins are still struggling so it is normal. I wonder how much ethereum that he had.

I think this is normal. But if we look at the price of Ethereum also not drop. Only normal graph movement occurs. Because of the habit if there is a large sales of coins, the price will drop.

I think this is not a dangerous problem, in the sense that as long as the eth is private, it is not the result of deceiving or scamming people, so he is free whenever he sells it. Whether he is the co founder or not. Isn't it the same as us who can sell our eth at will. But in fact there are many people who don't like this, with the reason co-founder might want to exit, drop the market price, blah blah blah A good coin will recover quickly.

I think it's natural for the founder of Ethereum to do that because maybe he is also in need of money so he does that and nobody can forbid him to sell a little of his assets, so imagine that in a crisis like this he could still get money with very large number.

Bad timing though, I mean of all the people, why the co-founder opted to sold his bags of ETH in Christmas and he thought that he will not be noticed by a lot of bots watching crypto space?

Anyways, its his money anyways and it has created a lot of selling pressures to other holders are well. Let's just look at the bright side and buy cheap ETH right now, don't wait till the price goes into two figures. Buy if you have the capital and wait for the price to peak again in the next two years or so.

A similar process took place a few years ago at Litecoin. Lee sold every Litecoin he had. (He explained that he was selling it.) Even though his appearance was bad for a while, he recovered.

But from a larger point of view, we might actually think it's a good thing. Better than holding a person worth millions of dollars in ETH, it is sold in a more balanced way.

Are they unbeliever to sell their coin at a price that is to low from their all-time high, he could just wait for the right time to sell and at ten times fold of what's he's going to get now, but some people are right, it's his share he has the right to sell it anytime, even at a loss, I just hope he will still remain loyal to the Ethereum cause.

As time goes by, we are witnessing that even ethereum developers attach more importance to paper money. As a matter of fact, the situation becomes so suspicious, the recent developments in ethereum have become very annoying, with the exception of the lack of innovation, news that can affect price has increased. I wonder if it is time to sell...  Undecided
Well, everyone need money but your statement isn't really wrong though. Ethereum's premine is simply too much and I'm pretty sure that the developers still got so many ethereums left in their wallet. But, that's what people have agreed since ICO back then so I guess majority of people will be fine. However, I'm not really fond of ETH that's also why everytime I got ETH i prefer to convert it to something else.
