If things going on as in last period It seems to me ETH will be unstoppable and keeps generating profit... <<< IMHO
Yes your thinking not bad, but it's not stability all over same. it always pump and dump. doesn't matter it must increase.
so hold on ETH and you will get a positive future.
good luck dear

Hi everyone, I've been around for a while now..
I've seen a lot of posts positive and negative about Ethereum.

At the moment I am holding Bitcoins, but I have invested in some Ether as well.

Now I am wondering, what are legitimate concerns about Ether (except for IPO, as I've already read this in a lot of posts).

So can anyone bring real other issues to the table, to enlighten me (and maybe a lot of other readers?)

Thanks!
If I am to rate ethereum from 1 (lowest) to 10 (highest), I would give 8. Ethereum is a good altcoin. Actually, it is the second best cryptocurrency (just next to bitcoin). Ethereum has the highest value among altcoins (take note: bitcoin is not an altcoin) and still tracking an positively inclined graph in its price chart. The only downside of ethereum for me is its usability. I always find it hard to manage ethereum with wallets. It might just that I was more familiar with  bitcoin than ethereum, but still, ethereum is a good altcoin.

Although I used to think that Etherium was in a bubble, but I have changed my thinking about it now. I think Etherium is the next best thing to bitcoin and after studying it deeply and understanding the platform it provides for other blockchain based projects, I think one of the next top companies will be built upon Etherium. I have been buying ETH and will keep buying till it stays under 300USD and I think it might reach the current price of bitcoin within couple of years.

Very true! Many ICOs are using ERC20 tokens, just like us and it is is in direct relation to the ether network.

On a side note - our SPARC Presale ends in 4 days, head over to our website and receive a 100% token bonus!

It is very good alternative coin if you are working with ether chain tokens. It must sound as irony. But ether created its own ecosystem where ether is needed in every operation. So you should stay away from that ecosystem if you are not gonna use ether.

do not make the opinions of others people as the main benchmark, because each user may have different opinions about etherum, may say etherum scam like some threads in altcoin section, there are also other opinions, which important is not to make it as a benchmark, but make the opinions of others people as a reference, then you should research yourself to choose to invest in etherum or stay away

That is right. I know many people are using Ethereum, so I think it has future.

When I saw this thread I thought it will not have many response: I was wrong. Then I thought let me see when it was started. The op wrote this in April. If you see what has been done with smart contract in the last four months then you have all the answers you need.

Don't put all eggs in same place. Split them to Ether Bitcoin Litecoin and other promising altcoins. Then you will never lose.
Also i suggest to hold at least %50 in bitcoin so you will buy altcoins when they fall.

Bitcoin the best.
Ethereum the second best coin after bitcoin and it will grow much higher in future so if you invest in it now you will surely not regret in future.

Yes, for sure. Really promising technology and great adoption. Ethereum is one of the big boys now, you won't be calling it an altcoin for much longer. It's a great coin, for sure.

I always consider Ethereum as the queen of the Crypto world (with BTC being the King for sure)
The idea that the majority of ICO/tokens out there are built over the Ethereum platform makes Eth an awesome Alt even for long-term investments

I think in the future, the majority usage of the ETH will be for the smart contracts.

I think ethereum is a very good altcoin and it is one of the most widely used platform hosting most ICOs. It is one of the most popular crypto currency available in the market right now, and hence can show good growth in future.

Ethereum is good for a long time.have a patience if price drops you can average at that time.in my opinion ethereum is good

Ethereum price goes between the 280$ mark and the 300$mark every other time the market becomes unstable. My suggestion to all is to buy it low at around 280$ and hold it. Watch for the rise and sell anytime it crosses 350$. That should be a good profitable trade. There may be rise beyond that too that is why I suggest people to not sell everything but to sell in fraction. Otherwise you will regret selling away all those profitable coins.

I notice that the thread was more than a year ago, and time answer the question itself. Probably if you invested your funds with etherium you certainly gain more as of now. And the idea of getting away from it becomes a bad idea. Currently etherium is becoming the new bitcoin. The truth about this alt coin is the risk, Just like any other coins the wisest way to do is just to release wealth you can afford (I dont want to say "willing to loss", because no one wants. There are still coins potential for growth, its not to late to invest.
