Actually ethereum is a very good altcoin this time because it has a faster blockchain than the other altcoin and the transaction fees is minimal. Ethereum is very popular now because it is commonly used in peer to peer transaction and by raising fund in an initial coin offering.
Ethereum is good alt, this coin has great support, so many successful ico project that uses the platform of the Ethereum. I am still holding out for this coin, see a history of Ethereum price I'm sure these coins are very good for the long term.
Why would you stay away from Ethereum when it is one of the best alt coin. It is proven because they have a huge backer behind their backs, and also their community is constantly growing. Many upcomming alt coins uses Ethereum as their platforms and that ethereum really has a huge potential in the long run.
You shouldn't invest more money than you're willing to lose. I think ETH value went up high and fast based on all the hype, so let's hope its potential will grow and the coin stabilizes on the market.
Ethereum always looks like a promising option on the cryptocurrency market, is is reliable and offers trust to its investors, plus it was like the first alternative to bitcoin so it you can consider it the second best on the market.
You can't really say that ETH was the first alternative to Bitcoin. ETH is quite young and its ICO was sometime in 2015. At least 4 years before that, altcoins such as Litecoin and Namecoin had come into existence.

I've seen a lot of posts positive and negative about Ethereum.
At the moment I am holding Bitcoins, but I have invested in some Ether as well.
Now I am wondering, what are legitimate concerns about Ether (except for IPO, as I've already read this in a lot of posts).
So can anyone bring real other issues to the table, to enlighten me (and maybe a lot of other readers?)

We all know that ethereum has passed all the tests of time just as bitcoin did. As we look back to it's previous value, we would be able to notice how it changed and strike to reach it's highest value. We should not doubt about it but we should just continue hodling and just wait for the best result.

If you check coin market cap site, you will find out that ETH is good and there are so many people invested on it. it will have sharding network and POS system in this year. so you can buy and hold it for long term.
I'd stay away from it. I personally prefer Monero and Bitcoin. I don't have much to say about Monero but Bitcoin will be the one I'll trust forever. Don't trust any other alts, you never know when you can get scammed. Just saying.
Ethereum is going strong now and it has a potential to be a good coin to invest with together with bitcoin but until now no one can beat bitcoin and ethereum is always at the back of bitcoin.
