Just invest a small amount you can afford to lose. If it drops then you can think about investing big. Well, I liked Ethereum as an altcoin and a new technology that brought new features at first. and I really find it interesting. but as days go by I am getting a little disappointed in it.
Today Ethereum is the most popular platform for creating smart contracts with a strong community. I think its price will go up to $1500 again, as soon as the Casper Protocol is launched.
eth is still the best altcoin for now, both in investment, blockchain technology and in other terms, and now there are lots of new altcoins using ethereum's blockchain technology, maybe it has proven that eth is still the best altcoin and maybe as a presenter btc for now and for the future.
I think its a solid alt, but if you want to find the next x50 in the crypto market, you need to go with lower marketcap coins. ETH has almost the same downside potential, but the upside potential is limited.

Yes, if I were to choose I will choose to stay in ethereum to invest for a long term, because of its popularity in the market, it is ethereum's advantage to attract investors and make a huge profit.
Ethereum is the best of all altcoins that's why until now ethereum dominates of all altcoins in the market because of it's technology that are very useful. Good and useful technology really matters most because it will gains the trust of crypto enthusiast.

ETH is good altcoin because many project ICO base on Ethereum platform, so this case will increase the demand
Thats right because ico project will always run then Ethereum paltform will always be used by developers and users. because ico project will always run. although there are other competitors such as plaform waves. but it seems the user prefers eth platform. thats why demand will always be there. 
I don't consider ethereum as an alt coin. It was one of the revolutionary ideas which changed the crypto world, it would have been not this easy for new projects to create their own coins if there was no ethereum. Holding from long time and I still believe that there is future for it.

At the moment I am holding Bitcoins, but I have invested in some Ether as well.
Now I am wondering, what are legitimate concerns about Ether (except for IPO, as I've already read this in a lot of posts).
So can anyone bring real other issues to the table, to enlighten me (and maybe a lot of other readers?)

Ethereum is nice as far as I am concerned. It gives us a good grasp of what crypto can do.The only challenge I see with ETH at the moment is on scaling it up I've seen a lot of posts positive and negative about Ethereum.

ETHEREUM is a very good choice.It has a great potential which is yet to be shown. It has also proved to be a good competition for BITCOIN and others coins in the market.Though it has not proved it self that much but it needs time for that too.

I would keep the bitcoins no matter what, if you have some spared money ethereum is really accesible at the moment and overall is a really good option to add to your portfolio, though I would aim for NEO instead.

Yes,it is. ETH is a good coin. It has a good potential and gives lots of benefits. Just like Bitcoin, it is good coin to invest with. The value might fall but it will rise up again.
Ehtereum is one of the best altcoins to invest with. The price will definitely raise as ether is not just any tradable crpto currency. It is used by developers to pay transaction fees and services on ether network.
they will care about things like BTC and other projects that can offer a safe haven from the crumbling world economy or a platform that can protect our privacy from tyrannical government oversight of your every moment of existence.In the end what is truly important in crypto will be realized and all else will cease to exist.
