There are always positive and negative commentaries about every single coin, and that would even include Bitcoin itself. Bitcoin is criticized. And to think that it is the beginning of everything. So how much more to Ethereum. There are valid points of course and Ethereum has to do something about it. I know there are several loopholes to this project but for now it is doing quite well. And so far, I've got no problem with ETH. I am also one of the holders of ETH.
Ethereum is top 2 coin then this coin could be one of the closest competitor of bitcoins and I conclude that ethereum will be a good coin to hold for more years.
Theres too much going on with the ETH blockchain at the moment, these issues should be fixed asap. Since the opening of this thread, no doubt Ether has been proved a good crypto, especially with so many services moving to tokens, but damn they should deal with the scalability and mining.
based on observation, it has been proven that Ethereum has a good future here in the cryptocurrency world.
They have to fix a major drawback - impossibility to fix bugs in the code of smart contracts. When they do that, I will by ETH myself. Software industry deals with bugs by iterations of troubleshooting/patching. In etherium it is impossible, and price of bug could be all your money lost on that buggy contract. This makes it extremely risky tool that will never adopted on a wide scale.
For me, my opinion in ethereum is the best altcoin and promising technology out there.. Everytime you buy eth , you are putting money into the most powerful network that currently exists...And the potential for that network is endless... Eth never stop to help you to gain money especially when you join in some ico , tokens are exchange to eth thats why they are in the top or first position in terms of altcoins
one of the best altcoin around no one can say otherwise that doesn't mean that there no altcoin better than ethereum of course still out there alot of coins which worth less in value than the effort their team have put on and the their wich worth much more but if you want a daytrading or a long term investment an easy one of course go for ethereum and bitcoin
There is no doubt that Ethereum is a good altcoin to invest. It is the basic altcoin in the cryptocurrency which has provided an ERC20 platform for ICO projects, its price grew up over 5900% in 2017. No one can tell it is a bad coin.

I've seen a lot of posts positive and negative about Ethereum.
At the moment I am holding Bitcoins, but I have invested in some Ether as well.
Now I am wondering, what are legitimate concerns about Ether (except for IPO, as I've already read this in a lot of posts).
So can anyone bring real other issues to the table, to enlighten me (and maybe a lot of other readers?)

Lately Ethereum has been gaining the limelight in the crypto world and many of my friends have already invested in this new trending Ethereum altcoin.The value of Ethereum has crossed the value of $400/Ethereum in a very short span of time.Ethereum had a huge pump in a short span of time so we can expect a huge dump in the near future too.But still with time it would gain value like bitcoins so we should consider investing in Ethereum too. Of course ethereum is a good altcoin. It's price is just growing day by day stably. I think it is the best altcoin after bitcoin. As you know that bitcoin has become very popular as it was the original cryptocurrency. That is the reason for its price to be high. Ethereum is also increasing slow and steadily but it's demand is not as high as bitcoins as everyone wants to invest in bitcoins as the price is rising. I think in the future ethereum will get alot more importance than it is getting now.
It is a good coin because of all altcoins, it is by far one of the most commonly used coin for token exchanges. Also, it has showed a huge pump these past weeks. It is somehow next to bitcoin in terms of usage, a lot of developers use this.
Ethereum is the main thing to stay by all means.

Its price has grown x40 since I started mining and investing it last year.
They have a lot of devs working on it (2nd place after Bitcoin and I wonder why, cause it has much more use cases than bitcoin)

It is a good altcoin afterall since it reach its price today. Other altcoins are mostly dump unlike ethereum that is strong until today.
Ethereum has already gone up so much I don't think it is a good idea to invest a large amount into.
All coins have advantage and disadvantage. It depends to the person that say it is good or not.

Yet it is a good alt why on the past year ethereum started like bitcoin that has a small value but as of now the price of the ethereum has rising a lot but be carefull when you invest invest inly if you feel like your investment will return to you
