The marketcap is moving closer to Bitcoin's, the price is going up like never before. Lets give ETH some time, I can see that is about to bury Bitcoin.
I agree with you the market cap of Ethereum is rising day by day. The awareness about this coin is also increasing. Many ICO (as you know ICOs are very very popular this days) are using ethereum. I think this coin has the potential to take over BTC

In my opinion even how hard ethereum work they cannot over take the position of bitcoin in the market. Because Bitcoin value was not stop raising up and it was same to the other Altcoins that want to beat bitcoin.
Yes exactly what you said very precisely is the fact about the bitcoin and the alts.
While talking about the bitcoin and the etherium comparison we must keep in mind the value of the Bitcoin, before we pass any remarks.
The bitcoin being a pioneer possesses a strong base and value in the cryptocurrency which is not an easy task for any altcoin to compete with.

Ether will take over bitcoin then what's gonna happen? We saw that ethereum blockchain has many negative and weak aspects. It collapses very frequently during crowded icos.

I don't really think that Ethereum could take over bitcoin or could surpass it,
The price amount between the two of them are so high even though it already surpass the market cap of bitcoin.

The raw price is not important its the marketcap that is. You could easily make a coin with low supply and price it at $100k it still wouldn't make it anymore useful or wanted.

I agree Eth might overtake bitcoin in terms of market cap
but before that happens Ethereum needs more time to adapt to the growing demand its having in spite being a young currency
as we saw recently network was congested such that some eth trading options and withdraws had to be temporarily suspended which clearly shows eth is not ready to takeover from BTC.

Ethereum will be facing more challenges in the future for sure,Antshare just woke up and i am pretty certain that we will see more tokens coming out from China with the Antshare platform and it is going to be a battle whether who is the best and which are reasonable platforms,it is going to be interesting.
PS:Lets not compare ETH with bitcoin.

Indeed at this time that the market capitalisation of the ETH based very close to the bitcoin but could not replace the price owned bitcoin. but it could be said the possibility of a profit owned ETH will always be side by side with bitcoin because I see there is a potential there is ETH so as to make the price is also increasing along bitcoin

I think it takes a long time for ETH to compete with bitcoin. Maybe this time ETH is very warm to be discussed because of its high price and its popularity. But I am sure bitcoin will always be number one in the world of cryptocurrencies

i dont think eth over btc. though eth has been  going up and btc also.so to over btc eth need more pump.but one stable coin dont make a more pump so quickly i think
Yes it is true, if eth wants to take over Bitcoin then ETH must be pumped heavily.

The bubble is popped now and it almost blocked the ETH network. Am seeing this message on Coinbase:
Quote
Ethereum Transaction Delays
Ethereum transactions are on hold while we investigate an issue. Recent or new received and sent transactions may remain pending longer than expected.

Already down by 10% and who knows when it will stop.

Look at the ETH network now: it's just a massive backlog of transactions that cannot be mined...
(some ICO's requiring ETH are challenging the network due to high demand.)

imho, ETH is just proving that it cannot scale.

I shorted 50% of my ETH. I bet it will continue to drop if liquidity remains an issue during high load.
#LTC may be the new answer.

The marketcap is moving closer to Bitcoin's, the price is going up like never before. Lets give ETH some time, I can see that is about to bury Bitcoin.
I think that is for small time increase the price , which is usual for everytime .
Because I remembered that the last time price of the ETH when rises then was about 0.11btc but it get crash and came at 0.086btc ( minimum ) but after that now it get increases to 0.148btc so now it again get crash and it is now at 0.13btc avg. .
So instead of the investment of the money in the Bitcoin and ETH , we should take care about the pricing  value that is speedily increasing with small small crash .So if now if it again rise to 8 times the current price then it's value will be equal to 1 btc which is not a small amount for 1ETH coij holder .
well here I would like to advice to put the money also in the dash coin which is near to the grow like ETH .
And I think in the incoming years they will become the two comparable coin for the Bitcoin to give competition .

I think there are few reason for this. ETH is much cheaper for investors compare to Bitcoin. I think people are thinking that BTC pump has hit its peak, so they're investing in ETH instead. We'll have to see in few months once BTC price has become more stable.

NO, and never !

Since the last big ICO the ETH-blockchain is suffering form overload,
multiple big exchanges had to disable their ETH withdrawals today.

But it will become even more worse,
because of the difficulty-bomb being activated,
https://etherchain.org/charts/difficultyBomb
which will lead to block-times around 30 seconds
until mid of august (doubled).

Taking into account that the ETH-blockchain is overloaded now,
without ever reaching the transactions of bitcoin
https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/transactions-btc-eth-ltc-doge.html#3m
imagine what will happen with a doubled block-time !
