There are many projects like ethereum but we can say that ethereum started the revolution. Ethereum has many use cases for the future technologies.

i thinkt there is so much work going on with ethereum.
the most valuable thing in crypto for the long run is in my opinion trust!!
if you see bitcoin and eth on the top of coinmarketcap.
why is it like that?
both are not the fastest blockchains.
there are so many more projects out there which are having better products.
why they are not better positioned? => TRUST.

bitcoin and eth could develop much more faster.
but they are not allowed to make mistakes.
so if you wanna have a clean product it will take soooo much time.

BUT,... you can not buy trust,... you just could work on it.
and ethereum to me looks like it is having a lot of trust!!
eos is so much faster (i am holding eos!) but more as a hedge.
but there voting model is sure scaring really good projects,... because they know if there are 11 of the 21 masternodes are saying,... we dont like anything on our chain,... they could (potentielly destroy it)

i like the way they are working.
they dont do big shoutouts!

so my point of view.
i am not sure if eth can beat bitcoin (if there is a bug in bitcoins code,... maybe)
if there is a government coin coming out (FEDCOIN ) ,... maybe bitcoin is getting problems.

cryptospace is developing slowly!
and if something needs time,... then because it will be made as good as possible.
i like it that eth is open source,... so everybody can see the code,...
of course,... other project can copy the code.
and make something better out of it.
but in the end TRUST will win.
and ETH is having the biggest developer community,... (bigger than bitcoin if i am not wrong - plz let me know)

i think eth will rise in satioshi value to bitcoin!!
we are so far down on the ground at the moment!

and if we want / will live in a decentral world,...
and i think it will take time,... but eth will scaling later great!

1 more thing
if casper is coming,...
there will be masternodes (there was some rumours,... with around 1000 eth. you can run a masternode)
this will push up the price radicly.
(just think,... in todays world you get interest rates around 0-2%)
and if you see ethereum as TRUSTFULL.
there will be big money coming in and take the rates from the masternode.
and if there will be some usage for ethereum (and i am sure there will be in future!!)
that there will be a lot of people who wanna be part of it.

I think it's a bit impossible, because Bitcoin remains the choice of many people and dominates the crypto world currency, but the performance of eth remains good and stays in the crypto market especially when the price of altcoin is falling is the right time for long-term investment and wait then you will know the results.

It seems to me that ethereum is ending its career in the world of cryptocurrencies. After the founder has left the project, the coin will only become cheaper. I doubt that ethereum has good prospects.

The answer is never, i don't even know why you can think like that. I know ethereum has very good platform but he can't be the king in cryptocurrency and he will never took the place from bitcoin (1 ranking in CMC).

I disagree with you mate if ethereum will take the leading role what will happen to bitcoin then.. what i know is bitcoin is the strongest and will still remain on top

True, ethereum is the future of transaction systems and cryptocurrencies, even though many negative trends are happening but I'm sure that the trend of ethereum usage will continue to increase and we can make big profits.

yes you are right, bitcoin is one of the most popular and highest coins. and ethereum is also the highest coin, but if ethereum wants to exceed bitcoin, I don't think it's possible, that is a very impossible thing. bitcoin will be one of the most popular coins in the future

I think we cannot really predict the future of the ethereum today due to its amazing price or maybe volume that is really unpredictable even  it the ethereum has a a potential i really still believe on the bitcoin and I think ethereum will always the next on bitcoin in terms of price and both coin are potential so then I believe that both coin will rise soon.

Ethereum can not be bitcoin at the rate it's value is dumping in the market. When there is price dump constantly like this, something is definitely wrong somewhere. Some people are losing confidence in ethereum so they sell!

right now the ether behaves as a very weak and unstable coin, while bitcoin falls by 4% EST falls by 11%. I think this is a bad indicator.

In 2020 my be Ethereum can over take bitcon because supply of ethereum is increasing and if the price also will go above $1000 it will be in top 1, and many investors now days interest invest in ethereum platform, if the bitcoin price continuously higher if price reached above $20k sure bitcoin will continue the king of coin always, no doubt Ethereum is also a very sophisticated crypto currency. Eth is now suffering from a major decline in the past weeks until now where I believe cryptocurrency is undergoing a major adjustment same as btc. The best thing to do right now is to hodl your eth investment until such time the crypto market may able to recover in the coming months

but not now, maybe a couple years later.

the price is so far away from another coins.

It's already #2 though. So, the using of word "will be" is not right. However after the decline of the price the total capitalization of ethereum decreasing significantly, even if I recall XRP could overtake the 2nd position for quite a while that proving that ethereum is still vulnerable against any other coin and could take the #2 position whenever it can. However, I see that the rumour of vitalik buterin leaving ethereum could somehow affect the market emotionally. People in the ethereum community are just too attached to the name like Vitalik Buterin.

I know about Bitcoin since 2015. So thats time btc price was 240$. but last year btc transactions was getted long times for confirmation. After i chanhed form btc to eth. Because Eth is best payment method with low transaction fees and instant transaction. Anyway i think future will be  best cryptocurrency is Ethereum.

bitcoin has always been the best with the highest prices and blockchain technology, although ethereum also has a good platform but I'm not sure it will beat bitcoin and its technology

Lately, i read some conversations of my true friends that ethereum will still dominate in cryptomarket, this is because eth is massively used and mostly used by any projects, but for me, if the market capitalizations is concerned, i could say that it has a future and will be the #2 in the CMC whatever it takes.

Ethereum will grow even better in the future, but being able to do bitcoint as number 1 seems to be still difficult, and in the future, ethereum will be more widely known and more and more to invest in ethereum.

There will be a long way for that thing to happen, cause the price gap between those 2 were so big, so it will be hard day for ethereum to reach the level of bitcoin at this level.

At the moment, after the Bitcoins in popularity goes Eth. But I think the İm broadcast is more in demand and its Blockchain is a platform for thousands of new projects. Believe in this coin.
