Well no doubt it is, I wonder what would cryptocurrency be without ethereum smart contract, it has become so easy for companies and groups to set up a token and crowdfund their project, cryptocurrency has never been the same since Ethereum become a popular token creation platform.
I agree with this accessment, if not for the invention of Smart contracts and tokens within the Ethereum Blockchain, we would not see atleast 95% of the ICOs we have seen so far this year because all the ICOs would need to develop their own blockchains which is quite expensive and time consuming.

I wished it wasn't about ico's at all right now. Who cares if eth is ico king? ICO's are simply a way to raise money and most if not all platforms are capable of offering ico's on them. Smart contracts may have been initialized by ethereum, but this doesn't mean they will stay ahead forever.
Yes, I fully agree with you that Ethereum is the king of ICO. And in this he has no equal. And in the General list Ethereum takes the second place, after bitcoin. And At the moment, Ethereum's competitors will not be able to reach such heights for another 5 years, that's for sure.

I do not see a strong opponent for the ether now & in the near future. The EOS blockchain, the closest competitor, as many believe, has a lot of flaws and vulnerabilities. Besides, it is almost centralized.

Ethereum was the first to introduce the revolutionary and game changing technology called Smart Contracts. Suddenly the world discovered the endless uses that Blockchain technology can be applied in ranging from e-commerce to even gambling, Smart contracts can totally replace middle-men in almost every aspects, so Yes, Ethereum is the king of ICO, no doubt about it

I am completely dissatisfied with Ethereum right now, I think that it can increase in price, but the reason for this is not clear to me. I hope that 2019 will be more profitable. And Ethereum together with Bitcoin will finally go up in price!

For hosting of ICO projects in the Ethereum can be regarded as the king of ICO, with the smart contract capabilities has really helped startups to kick up their business, however EOS blockchain is moving to take over from Ethereum with its smart contracts potentials and high scalability.
Ethereum is one of the greatest coins, and yes it is an ICO king. I have never seen an ICO where you couldn't take part in by contributing with Ethereum. I feel, that this coin is going to overcome Bitcoin one day and this day is coming.

I agree with your assessment but I will like to add that ethereum is both the best and worst ICO blockchains for 2 reasons.
The first is it is the most commonly used and easy to use and also store so investors rarely have a problem.
The other reason why it is the worst is because of how easy it is to design platform on it, many scam projects use ethereum to devwlop their platforms which is bad for ETH.

Yes, I totally agree because most of ICO use Ethereum platform . we know Ethereum has really helped ICOs become successful with their project. I strongly believe Ethereum holds a special place among cryptocurrencies. So Right now ethereum is still the king of ico.
