Ethereum should be bought now and later! Ethereum is good below $500, that means any price of ether below $500 is a good buy and better price for good position in ether future rise! I have been telling any of my friend and aquintance to buy more because prices are still cheap!

I think you should choose XRP to buy now. Because XRP and ETH are fighting to win second place. XRP has not shown signs of growth yet, they are waiting for a good time to grow and this is an opportunity for us to buy low and sell high. I think this is a pretty good strategy and it depends a lot on the luck and the recklessness of each person.I feel like XRP's going to be over soon. Because Ripple is growing at an incredible rate and has no connection to the XRP. Most investors think they're the same. In short, it no longer needs XRP.

ETH and BTC are both good for the long term. I do think that when the market recovery starts BTC will lead the way. However ETH price is increasing probably due to the forthcoming Constantinople upgrade.
If the question is to buy ETH or BTC, just look at the historic ETH chart vs BTC. ETH bounced up from the bottom support level quite recently, so it is still lower than normal vs BTC. The question is whether the Constantinople effect will tail off before the whole market bull returns.
The price of ETH v Bitcoin does indeed look very low at the moment. Best time to buy was probably when it was around half its current price. Not sure how much of the current rise is due to the upcoming ETH fork, and how much is just because it hit a low point anyway. Either way ETH is a solid long-term coin to hold. Might be worth watching price movements immediately after the fork kicks in as well, just in case anything dramatic starts to happen.
In my view ethereum isn't yet ready mate.. Which those previous pump last few days is just a normal reaction because of the volatility , but it's a big sign as well that there's still a tends of recovery . which is unlike others predictions about it (opposite). So keep holding your eth and be patient ! Keep believing also that soon both eth and btc will soar again back to the current record.

I'd go more with bitcoin than ethereum. Take note that I'm an ethereum holder but the biggest portion is on bitcoin. I'd always believe the potential of bitcoin and though ethereum is very interesting and moving up too, if the comparison is between two I'd go for bitcoin.
Bitcoin is the best coin out of the two by far, but if you were to ask me which one of those coins will give you the best profits during the next months I will say that ethereum has a good chance of giving you more profits, the ethereum upgrade that will happen will reduce the block reward of ethereum, it will be something similar to the bitcoin halving, and the last time that happened in bitcoin we saw a slow and steady increase in the price after a few months of that event. With the increase in ETH values today, hopefully it can trigger the enthusiasm of the people who have long withered and lethargic against cryptocurrencies. However the price correction seems to continue to follow the pace of crypto prices so that the growth of cryptocurrencies maybe will find obstacles.

I see ethereum get pump at 20% at 24hours volume that's a good outcome in start of january 2019 maybe this year is good for altcoins that will gonna pump.

It is not pumping, because pumping means someone is manipulating the price, however if you bought, its better you research more and diversify your portfolio, coins like ledu, monero ,eos, you can optin for them. But do your research.

Ethereum is probably going higher because of the expected stake deal. As soon as the hard fork passes the people with more ethereums will gain more ethereums thanks to staking, all the fees and new coins will be going to their wallets instead of miners. This means the more eth you have the more you will stake kinda like interest you get from your savings account in the banks.It means people started to grab as much eth as they can afford and this created a demand that supply couldn't cover so the price went up. I don't know how long this will continue but I assume this will continue at least until the hard fork. As soon as people start to stake they will either continue to buy more ethereum to make more profits or they will not be happy with the amount they are making and start to sell their coins.

The market so far is so very volatile, it will be difficult for us to predict what could be happen in the future.
Though, price value of ethereum for others sight sight it is a good sign for them due to it bounce a little bit but still
not enough to say that its a good sign. Still we need to be a bullish which is I think its the safest things to do.
True. Still its scary to say or anticipate that a bullrun is here. I think its just a normal market reaction and Ethereum price can drop anytime. Be very cautious here, and as what @Pattart says sell when opportunities have come.
All people are waiting for the price development of all currencies because most of the people invested a lot more investment here so we can definitely need change a good move from here otherwise how investment and our time will definitely waste for all of us but I hope it will not waste our time and money.
