i think there are still many people investing in etherum, etherum is one of the very best projects, many Token coin have succesfully with crowdsale based ethereum and if ethereum scam how about all token based on ETH.?
But for price grow need daily exponencial more investors. It imposible, collapse is inevitable.

ETH supply growth is not exponential, it's linear.

Thats a fact that for now, many people are investing into ethereum because of many ICO's that are based on ethereum, the erc20 tokens, and also many just want to ride the pump of ethereum but I guess I would not call it a scam but I will say that the price is manipulated. Im sure if those companies behind those ICO's successful decides to sell their gathered eth in their crowfund sale, then eth will go back to the price it is supposed to have now.

Did you not understand what was happen with ethereum? It's not price manipulated by the ethereum will migrate to the pos system and it makes the supply will be fixed. Too many whores of ethereum said that ethereum already manipulated, Scam coin or another crappy thing. But they still wear the signature related to the ether manufacturer.

Spoentik has a legendary answer, I also had a good laugh.  Grin

Thank's man!
How can it be legit if a man owns 85% of it even before it was launched? How much did he mine back then? How many eth does he really owns?

A good point you brought up.

I've never been able to think of a really super good reason to have ETH exist.
It just seems shockingly pointless to me.

I also see it as an ICO which are ALL UNFAIR AND SCAMMY.
But.. worse it was fucked with every step of the way.

Back in 2014 when it launched the whole scene thought ICO's were scammy and there was only a handful.
And.. no one had any interest in Ethereum either.
So when the ICO launched (they called it an IPO back then)
no one cared..

But shockingly some weird rich person was buying them up seconds after launch non stop for ages in 100 BTC buy order chunks.. as seen on the Block-Chain.

And that was just the beginning.. who funded the great 2016 pump and then dumped and later put up $12.50 buy walls for a year ?

I call it a scam because the actions behind ETH have been highly scammy.
Hell i didn't see anyone disagreeing when i launched a scam topic on ETH in 2014.
Nope.. it seemed the world agreed and avoided it for 2 years until IT GOT PUMPED HARD !
By whom ?

Like for fucking fuck sakes people how much do you want for proof ?
I didn't hear the idiots here complain when Butters dumped millions.
..unlike Satoshi.

Idiots were sitting here watching mined coins launching and thought SHIT I GOT IT !

"APP's"

and we'll call them "smart contracts" then we'll IPO/ICO it and pay our selves vast amounts of free money and then.. on top of that buy all the coins !

mmmmhhmmm LEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEGIT people

Unless of course you are any other coin.. then you all would be screaming scam.

You all think Bitcoin could have gone through all that and still get to where it is ?
You realize most of earth already thought BTC was a scam and made good arguments to support the idea long before ETH came along ?

PS:
Don't like my comment ?
Go launch a DAO about it.
..and FORK IT !

PPS:
I hear Facebook is now using Ethereum too.. and Google and Yahoo too.
Oh and big banks.. Russia.. ANON.. Microsoft & IBM etc etc etc...

You are greedy people and are blind to the smart contract fuel token dapps gimmick charade fer teh ROI't on yur white paper profitz coin valuations on yur roadmap ICO exchangers.

Ethereum the platform isn't a scam and might have some uses.

ETH the token unfortunately as promoted is definitely a scam. Anybody who thinks that the "world super computer" that runs thousands of time slower than the processor on my cell phone is capable of simultaneously operating for 1000s of DAPPs, being a currency and running smart contracts for banks lacks knowledge of computers and networking. Even a couple of recent ICOs completely slowed down the network and that's without a single popular DAPP in existence.

ETH the coin is not capable of what's advertised.

No this question will never happen to ethereum devs are just preparing themselves because ethereum will increase rapidly for sure, so better to buy ethereum right now instead of thinking about this nonsense question, for you and for us better to buy right now.

Scam or not ETH was one of the first coins to push the envelope of coding.  Most new coins garner popular support based on a couple things, the "theme" of the coin and/or a greed structure.

Most coins are a quick and hard clone of Litecoin or Bitcoin, with a new theme thrown on to grab attention, these coins will gain or lose value as that popular theme gains attention or fades away.

That used to be the case..
Last couple years the trend is to tack on a gimmick.. such as ETH with App's and the smart contract buzzword.

ETH definitely feels like a scam and it's a scam that is creating more scams with these ICO's

Maybe but all i know is that eth served as a platform for many ICO's not just because i am one of eth but i see how it is useful to the community. And technically the inquisitor is just a low rank member. It would be a great issue if another wealthy guy would say such. We are not in the position to target big companies like that we do have to power to combine many scam accusations that are true with evidence. That is just expected to those kinds of gigs and its up to us if how many would we allow them to take from us.

I am tired of hearing about it being a scam, for a scam could not be so popular and strong.

To be more precise, most of coins are btc clones, for litecoin can also be called like that in a way, for it is built on the same blockchain technology. Nevertheless, I think we live in the world where copying can not mean something fully negative. A clone is not totally the same, there are always some small innovations behind it. And, if one successfully copies many things from others, this can be called a true masterpiece.
As for ethereum, I am tired of hearing about it being a scam, for a scam could not be so popular and strong.
