Only way is neglecting facts that BTC is way stronger currency. And as investment more secure than any other alts!
I'm not scared of alts, how many times i believed in same stories about future success..NEXT BITCOIN! And i was JACKASS..

yeah bitdoin is the strongest, but this not mean that there should be not a good second cointhereum still increase by 8x from when it was before the pump, this is a very good rising if it can stay there

Bitcoin and Ethereum are different. They have different applications. I heard bitcoin can also be used in Ethereum platform.

Hello.
I am a newbie into this thing.
Is it the right time to buy ether? Can we expect the value to come down where it used to be?

No, it is not a good time to buy Ether IMO. It had a dramatic rise in price starting this January then a dump two days ago. Price is holding around .030 on Kraken.

Price may tread water around .030 for a while then one of two things will happen. Price will tank like the normal altcoin pump and dump or price will increase past the all time high made on 3/13. If Ether really has balls and a new ATH is made that is the time to buy on the breakout, but even then I would wait for a pullback. This coin needs to prove itself. There is no rush to buy.

If the Ethereum price stays around 0.025 for a few months and consolidate, it is good for the long term prrice  in the future.

i doubt if this can happen.
OP is pointing out a couple of very interesting facts in 8-2015

ETH has 60 Million coins premined and there is a lot of new coins being created everyday. the total available supply of ETH is already 5 times more that bitcoin.

i am not an expert but looking at other altcoins with massive supply shows that none of them can have high prices. just check coinmarketcap to see for yourselves.
Yes but if eth gets adopted by the masses more so than bitcoin then a higher price can certainly be justified.   I am aware of the issue you bring up but price and supply don't necessarily move in lockstep.

How the hell are the masses gonna adopt ETH, when simple Bitcoin wallets are still beyond most Grin

OK, but isn't being adopt. It's 99,999% speculation.
May be? I don't know and nobody knows. Since January ETH skyrocket thanks to Bitcoin storm, aside the hype.

I have ETH, I think this shitcoin will return a good reward this year. Only need more negative news from Bitcoin war, and these war is far from over.

Better forget ETH forever, it will go down this year. The same like other altcoins, which do not have users.  Wink

How do you come up with that? Why will it go down?

hes just figure it will go down as most alt coins have and became useless, not so sure its the case with ether, seems to have alot of things going for it.

Yeah, like blowing bubbles and open doors... or maybe using it as gas to run a DApp when they are finally allowed to be used on the 21GB blockchain...

The block size grows too quickly.

Stuff that goes up too fast tends to fall back down as people start to panic and take profits. This is similar to BTC in 2014 when it hit $1000 and people thought it would just continue to go up in a straight line. Nothing goes up in a straight line... So if you arn't in ETH, the best strategy is to wait.
