Everyone talking about this coin  as LTC2 ?

I though Dash was LTC 2?

Eth needs more time for adoption and development

Everyone talking about this coin  as LTC2 ?

Calling it LTC2 is a bit early. It has the potential, as ETH could have many real life use cases, lots of corporations interested in it (but it's not clear yet if they are interested in ETH itself or in the technology). But we've seen many revolutionary coins - with similar or sometimes even better functionality than ETH - what sank into oblivion or still struggling to take off.

I never understood why Ethereum price just exploded. Can somebody elaborate on this one?

Some good news about ETH. R3 decided to use ethereum to connect 11 banks in its first distributed ledger experiment.

For the record - there are no "masses" in cryptocurrencies.

we saw clearly that the platform has clearly changed from alpha to full beta testing, and that the matching of market requests certainly should not lag behind language , and that likely even more acute angle and that the likely acceleration of growth is not long wait and realizing that we remember about early investors and their responsibility for the transfer of technology to the masses, but not simple spekulieren goods, though,

The price has risen to $1.6. It is more than 60% from a month ago. Anybody know the reason for the rise.

First Factom, now Etherium. Could be a new trend.

Both will come crashing down hard IMO. Pump and dumps lately have had heavy emphasis on the pump. As evidenced by ETH, FCT, DASH, EMC, NEM, YBC, etc... I'm not saying those are all pump and dumps... as I like ETH/FCT and haven't really checked out the others too closely.

However, they are all very clearly going through a "pump phase" and I will not be catching the falling knife. I stay away from buying cryptocurrencies whose value is ballooning quickly as the value almost always comes crashing back down to earth eventually. I buy and hold for long term investments, so I'm not interested in seeing if I can buy in and dump before it comes crashing down.

I have been noticing pump and dumps lately are a little different than they were back in the day. They used to be dumped immediately after being released while hyping the forums, news channels, etc... now they are pumping up the cryptocurrency's value for longer before dumping, so it is more of a long con.

I was really missing this train. Wanted to buy at 0.8 USD and it went up up up.
Vitalik Buterin is a good salesman. Other Cryptos missing such prominent faces.

I think this is the biggest advantage of Ethereum: There is a face and frontman. A guy that is around and is covered in media.

For me it´s now just a matter of time when Ethereum will be higher than Litecoin in the coin market cap.

shorterm down

longterm up

The price has been around $0.94 for two months now. I think it is absorbing the selling of ICO very well.

Yeah, and this is unusual for altcoins in general. In my view, this indicates the intrinsic value of eth.

I agree with peteycamey's short term prediction. Long term I'm also rather optimistic but with some precaution. It will go up, if the devs keep developing and - more importantly - if it became a widely accepted add-on for bitcoin.
Actually I'm surprised how well it keeping it's value. I expected a lot bigger dump down to the IPO prices or even lower.

There are too many Ethereum floating around. The developers got 13 million coins, I think they will sell them to make a living.
