ETH will not take BTC because BTC value is much more than ETH value and BTC growth rate is also higher than ETH.
So it is impossible to over take BTC by ETH. But indirectly ETH overtake BTC through ERC20 Token i.e see TER token on livecoin.net value was about 10 BTC per Token.

Ethereum will not take over the position of bitcoin, at least not in the near future. Bitcoin has the first place in cryptocurrencies so far. Bitcoin determines the direction in which cryptocurrencies follow.
It is really hard for ethereum to overtake bitcoin's place as number one coin in cryptocurrency, it seems impossible, there is no way for eth. But we will in many years.
Hahaha I strongly disagree with that your assertion. Ethereum is no comparison for Bitcoin. Except if something revolutionary and abnormally happen in favour of ETH in the cryptospace, Bitcoin will still remain the king.
I think that the normal BTC / ETH ratio is 0.3-0.33, I'm sure next year we will be able to observe this trend!

No alt coin that can by pass the bitcoin no matter what, they need to take lots of investors around the world to take it, but it would not happen.

Ethereum is a solid altcoin and you can be sure everything you do on ethereum is crypto and is also decentralized. However; you can not compare ethereum with bitcoin, they are far from each other in terms of adoption, security and development!

i think, it will never happen. Infact there are coins that is better than ethereum. We cannot deny the stability shown by ethereum and also soaring it's price. But in a perception of overcoming bitcoin is impossible, when ethereum will rise it will double the price by bitcoin. . So i think ethereum will be strong soon but also bitcoin will.. this is all just my opinion. Ethereum increasing it's price because of it's asset that sorround it's platform. Let's see if it will become true. As of now, bitcoin is the best cryptocurrency and for me, it will always remain the same. If bitcoin totally collapse the it is the time that ethereum will dethrone bitcoin but untill bitcoin price is kicking out, bitcoin will remain its position. Well, there is a probability that ethereum could potentially replace bitcoin, after all to most of the bounty campaigns I have seen, they utilize ethereum more than they use bitcoin. This is probably why I can say that ethereum can potentially replace BTC.

it will not overtake within 5 years. but after 5 years i think some coins will overtake bitcoin. it's just like apple and samsung some brands will overtake them in future.
I hope for it so much, but probably it won't happened next year, maybe in several years. Bitcoins are too strong now, despite that price fall down for 4k of usd. I believe in etherium in future as well.
I don't think Ethereum will likely overtake bitcoins price right now. There is a big gap on their price, also ETH depends on the price of bitcoin in the market, as the BTC decreases so does ETH decrease.
