I don't see that things will be going happen. Bitcoin max supply is fixed. Ethereum supply is unlimited.
If we talk about the feature or technology, I can say Ethereum has been overtaken Bitcoin. But regarding of the number one crypto, I think its still impossible.

hmm..this is what cannot happen, both coins have different features
ETH is mostly used as platform for the ICO developers and high percentage of share is holeded by the developer which he can dump any time
Bitcoin is much free and nobody is controlling it

I think this is possible, because ethereum now is being well-known worldwide. It can be used now as a payment transaction almost in everwhere where bitcoin is accepted. But for me, it will take much time for ethereum to totaly take over the bitcoin.

It happened the opposite. Over the past 2 months, the etherium has become so cheap that it will soon cost 200-250 dollars. And I'm not sure that it will ever cost more than 1000.

Well your statement backfired unfortunately eth will not overtake bitcoinby just lookimg at the price, ETH is somewhat below 500 usd while bitcoin is still on 8k and i think eth will perish even more since the ad ban made by facebook , google and twitter will more like hit hard on ICOs which will lead on to price drop on eth but we will about that since the future is so unpredictable

It seems ETH will not overtake BTC. With time if ICOs lose attractiveness or even if many postpone dates hoping for a more bullish trend, the value of ETH may not recover. It could even drop further. Can ETH stay above $500 for a week will probably be the next normal question.

Did not agree with ethereum will take over bitcoin. As there are so many problem with ethereum now, and so many project like tezos or eos want to challenge ethereum, the position of ethereum can be hold on or not is a question. Nor to say it will take over bitcoin.

I'm not saying that it is impossible, but what I think is that it will not happen soon. Bitcoin is still the leading cryptocurrency and is still increasing its value very rapidly hence I think that it will remain on top for quite some time.

Technology wise Ethereum is better, but Bitcoin has a much bigger market cap due to its first mover advantage. Although, no one can be sure if Bitcoin will maintain it’s no.1 position for long.

It is not possible for ethereum to overtake bitcoin in terms of price because bitcoin has already build it foundation in the exchange market and the demands for bitcoin is way higher then that of ethereum because bitcoin is the founder of all other altcoin in the cryptocurrencies world.

It is very unlikely for ethereum to take over bitcoin in my opinion. Bitcoin has high value and it is also the most popular of them all. Ethereum has the potential to grow big, but not the same as bitcoin.

I acknowledge that ETH is a coin with smart technology and is constantly improving its performance and testing new ideas. ETH is really a potential coin in the future. But to pass bitcoin on value as well as popularity is difficult. It will not even be possible in the near future. Influence and popularity of bitcoin is important to the crypto market.
