I think its not an update from the word itself "hard-fork" means that they are going to create a new coin from ethereum and called it as " constantiople " not sure about the name of new hard fork of ethereum but I think it is .

from what it seems, this is just another token created out of eth platform. are you referring to this project (ethereum classic vision)?

they are totally different team from the real eth developers. it's like another altcoin derived from bitcoin. and their token, it is derived from ethereum. maybe they intentionally planned to have that date. so people are now confused...
In the middle of January the Constantinople hardfork will be started. But there is also another project ETCV it will be on the same date. But here your can reach some new tokens.

When you read that? From what i found the constantinople hardfork didn't started yet, hardfork will happen in the mid-January later. some people buy ETH and save the wallet them to get etcv. and this will surely impact on the Exchange rate ETH at the beginning of year
Hardfork for ETCV is another hardfork i think? Since constantiople hardfork for ETH doesn't give you any new token while it happening1. Constantinople hardfork has not started yet, it will start at block 7080000 in the middle of January 2019.
2. ETCV is a separate project, it is more like an airdrop based on the snapshot instead of the chain split. Like we used to be with Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash

As far as i have learnt Yes their are both events coming one is the hard fork where new coin will be airdropped to all eth holders on 12th of january but the main event is the network upgrade by eth developers and it is called constantinople upgrade which will occur around 15 16 january. Both these events are considered bullish for eth. Whatever the outcome of these events im super bullish for eth for this whole new year.
I think everything is clear about the ethereum hard fork that will take place in the first quarter of 2019. If you have not heard about the update, indeed this is a very good question to clarify the experts here. If there is an effect on the price of ethereum, well I think it's natural. Thank you!

there is no harm in trying, if you do not get anything we buy coins that are reputable, and suppose that we are investing. by buying ethereum and holding it back for longterm 
I really hope that this update will give a good impetus for the price of ETH and finally we will see a rally of bulls!

No, there is an upgrade coming up by 11th January alongside a split. The split is what I really don't understand as most articles cover the upgrade for speedy transactions to avoid future congestions and failed transactions which will equally reduce transaction fee and a switch to proof of stalks.
About hardfork this is a bit confused, updates can increase the value of ethereum, but some provide info about new coins. I only think of updates that can later provide an increase in eth values. Hope that this moment will be an important and good moment.

Thanks for this sir, I have seen the Ann thread, was about to ask the same question. But I have a clarification to make, going through different articles about the hardfork which is coming up on 11th January 2019, I really didn't see anything like a new coin been created. All I could see is just majorly the upgrade of the network otherwise known as the Constantinople. Please, do you have any detailed articles that cover the new coin to be shared in 1:3 ratio? It is not basically an update. It is an upgrade where the whole blockchain is changed, the code is changed, everything you can see in the ethereum is changed.
