I agree with you, ethereum is very popular that many people supports ethereum because the technology of ethereum is very useful at crypto market. Actually most ICO's are using ethereum flatforms as their way of payments and transactions. So ethereum is the best of all altcoins but i think all of those are not enough to replace the king of cryptocurrency no other than bitcoin. Im not doubting at ethereum but for sure it will took a lot of hardworks and years and most of all outstanding technology inorder to surpass bitcoin the king of cryptocurrency.

Really, we see growth of ethereum isn't as fast bitcoin growth and I think value of ethereum is stagnant between the values $500 - $1000. this signifies progress of ethereum is still far from bitcoin

it's too early to judge eth to be a substitute for bitcoin because eth is currently still the best altcoin amongst others with its price stability. for being a bitcoin companion I think it is ideal.
