In my opinion it can't really happened to Ethereum take the throne from bitcoin it's impossible. Bitcoin is the King of all crypto currency and I don't think there's altcoin can beat the King.
I think it's too early to give the title, we see that bitcoin is still much discussed by the public and still serious attention in various countries, the second is bitcoincash which value is very expensive
Just because bitcoin's price is correcting at this period of the year, does not mean that it will be replaced by an altcoin. Ethereum can be a substitute for bitcoin but you can never tell that it replaced bitcoin as the leading crypto right now.
Ethereum has seen a major boost during the past few weeks. In January, it was trading at around BTC0.025 per coin. During the last one month, its value against Bitcoin increased by almost 4 times, and the exchange rates hit a high of BTC0.100 per coin before falling slightly.
Of course this is possible, but we need some bad news on bitcoin. What would investors have to get out of bitcoin and invest their money into Ethereum. In any case, Ethereum still has a lot to grow.

As bitcoin is going through rough ride along with other altcoins but ethreum is turning out to be more stable platform for investment and also new ICO's are based on ethreum. Currently, ethereum is in good price and increasing, but it can not be a benchmark that ethereum can lead and remove bitcoin from the first position. Now Ripple has begun to show strength in the market slowly but surely its value continues to rise and this could have removed the ethereum from the second position.

It is expected that very soon we will see a good move in the price of Bitcoin. But that's my personal opinion.
I can say that Ethereum cannot be consider as the new king of crypto because I heard that bitcoin will soon goes rise this year. And bitcoin has really the capacity that it will has longer than we thought. Bitcoin is now considered as gold because of its value.

I agree, Ethereum users now put forward features and services that can be enjoyed for holders of ETH tokens,
although the largest volume is still held by BTC, but holding ETH is more fun than holding BTC (I think personally)

For this year it may be difficult to shift bitcoin at the top of the crypto, although many ICO's are based on Eth. I think bitcoin will remain the culmination of crypto for the next 2-5 years, but i also believe that increasing time ethereum can shift bitcoin at the top let alone see the project based on Ethereum itself.

I do not think that the etherium can ever take the place of bitcoin. Bitcoin has always been number one and number one and will remain. As if his technology is not out of date, he will always remain first.
Looks like it is. Last 7 days or something were all about bitcoin's resurrection but ethereum couldn't catch bitcoin in this manner. So ethereum tokens are really low priced right now hard to believe but ethereum directs market now, especially with erc20.
In my opinion ETH can be surpass Bitcoin but not in this years could be in 3 years or more, The price of Ethereum also has possibility to going up to $10,000 in the long term because i seen the development of this crypto is good and manage by professional and solid team. And also the team always looking for new inovation to give more benefits and advantages to the community.
i have read some article that more investor still investing in bitcoin while it's low. and i also read the news about ethereum, co-founder said that it may dump this quarter. hope it will not happen.
This is not gonna happen that ethereum can overtake the bitcoin as you can see there was a big difference with their value, if there is no more investment or other country around the world are going to banned the bitcoin perhaps the ethereum will be the king of crypto currency.
