To be honest , I was not that shocked when Iceland beat England. I knew something could gone wrong when Roy Hodgson recalled Raheem Sterling in the starting line up instead of Jamie Vardy .Now he have “taste his own medicine”
And the underdog Iceland have gone beyond expectations.

To be honest Iceland impressed me even before the real competition started during the qualifier games leading to Euro 2016. I thought they were going to play some decent games in their group stage but Iceland exceeded all my expectations and made it out of the group and now onto the quarter finals. As people have mentioned already nowadays big names in football don't mean anything any more and we have to follow the teams closely and not bet on big favorites blindly like England today for example.

There were easy games though. For example Croatia - Turkey, Spain - Turkey, Germany - Slovakia, Hungary - Belgium. They made us easy money. But you played all controversial games? Why did you play them? They are not easy games, these games are the most difficult to guess. Personally I expected Italy and Iceland to pass the round but I didn't play because risk was too high.

I liked this game, Iceland has a different way of playing. They seem to create danger each time the attack, which is a big change when someone is used to teams like Spain or Portugal.

I really hope they win against France this Sunday Grin

The one should be blame on England is the manager, he had no brain on selecting players. Sterling, Kane, Alli, Lallana, Rooney, Wilshere, etc. They did not even show a great performance on club except Kane, but Hodson bring them to National team. What a dumb manager.
And congrats to Iceland for the great winning, they deserves to be on Quater-Finals and will face the host France. Would be a great achivement if they can beat France and go to Semi-Finals.

Wow I had a bet on England to qualify but I actually don't care about the loss because Iceland did the unthinkable and absolutely wrecked England today. I have the warmest sympathy for the Icelandic team and I hope they will manage to achieve something remarkable against France but even if they don't Iceland has done more than enough in this competition and has defied all the odds and in a way reminds me of what Leicester did in the Premier League last season Grin

Was a solid win for Iceland, almost no chance of goals to England, more than fair result.
