He is a very competent and competitive player but the truth of the matter is that he plays for Portugal and historically they have always lacked something, maybe they lacked someone like Ronaldo, but this is a team game he cannot carry them all, they need to be as hungry as him if they want a chance to win the world cup.

He's going to keep trying until near age 40 or so because he wants a world cup. In order to be a real legend in football you MUST at least win 1 world cup. He already got the Euro, now he needs to go for the world cup. So we have 2018, then 2022, I doubt he will still be around to be able to play in the 2026 world cup.

If he is fit enough to keep on playing then I wouldnt mind. He is good enough even now and there is no other player that could beat him yet instead of messi so why not. I would love to see him keep playing and imagine how bad would it be if there isnt any ronaldo or even messi anymore in real madrid or barcelona

yeah only injuries can derail Ronaldo from playing for longer periode and judging from his injury history he doesn't get injurrd often so that's would be great news for him because most of players retires due having multiple injuries that he suffered before and will be afraid to suffer when he is getting much older and defintly his physics will be helping him on his future look at Zlatan about when month from his bad Ligament injury he was seen back kicking the ball at his age that is very impressive thing to see too bad that Manchester United now is looking to replace him it was nice seeing him play in the Premier League.

Congratulations to all the supporters and the team itself for winning Champions League. Cristiano Ronaldo showed an awesome game, with scoring first goal. Though Juventus gave a equal goal within 7 mins, but after half time, back to back scoring by Casemiro and Ronaldo just nearly finished the game. It became on-sided, Marco's 90 minute goal was just a cherry on top Tongue

I think Juventus played way better in last two years finals than this one, tactically inept and Allegri decision to play Alves as winger baffles me whiles he had Cuadrado on the bench.

Definitely, ronaldo is the key player of real.. I don't see the team going anywhere without him (just like I don't see juventus going anywhere without Buffon once he retires, which won't be long from now seen his age)

Even if Buffon is a great player, he is just the goalkeeper, You cannot replace him and his enormous experience but you can get a younger goalkeeper with greater physical attributes, in the case of Ronaldo there is only one like him once in a while, if Messi did not exist he will be in the minds of many the undisputed best player in the world.

Finally it is all over and real madrid takes it again literally thrashing juventus , i actually didn't really expect that match would get over in full time and was really looking foward for penalties but real madrid got it right this time defeating juventus that too in finals by 4-1.
Next season chelsea will be there in league along with my favourite bvb. Let's hope a german team wins this time

Soccer is a team game. Everyone in the team contributed to the success of Real Madrid including the coach and even the technical team. However, a team without a leader is like a headless chicken running around. We have to give credit to Zidane for the wonderful leadership he has provided to the team to achieve such success. even if the players are good like Ronaldo and the coach is not inspiring, the team will go nowhere as there will be no cohesion in the team.

Well said, if you want to win then you have the mentality to win any situation, that type of mental preparation has been grown in the zidane side, they are fully dedicated to win any competitive match, that was one of the vital point of Real Madrid football team. Also they were fully physically fit and mentally prepared to win the game...

He is fantastic player yup he won almost all top tournament cups and awards, and he is the richest player in all format of sports won golden boot and many awards. But yes only one cup is missing world cup I think he will make this dream true before he gets retires. In coming world cup he must win, if he misses this chance, i think it will become tough for him to win the world cup.
