Chelsea messed up the Round of 16 draw. 4 English teams finished group stage 1st but Chelsea finished 2nd. I wonder if UEFA use hot ball mechanism in this draw too.
Is there a site we can make bets for draw? I have good feelings about who get who.

After the end of the group stage of the Champions League began to reveal some facts about the power of Manchester City sweeping , brilliantly Paris Saint-Germain attack , the return of Bayern Munich with Heynckes  , the creativity of Barcelona with Valverde and the fluctuation of the level of Real Madrid.

nothing suprise in last match group A-D
but iam sad chelsea can't first placed in group C, only second placed under AS roma
so to next stage, chelsea very dificult match, must meet winner another group
Unseeded Chelsea is most likely going to face some tough opposition, maybe Paris St-Germain or Barcelona and this time around teams that have made it are all top class with one or two exceptions to be called underdogs. Lets wait for the Champions League draws.

I am upset that Athletico Madrid and Dormund are not part of top 16, I think Arsenal chance of winning the europa league just took a big hit. Chelsea facing Psg could be nice, Psg are suffering and it will be interesting, how do they cope with conte tactics. I am very much excited for the draw, Manchester United my favorite team is back and I really hope they can win champion league. I am waiting to see City against big teams how well they do, they really are playing some amazing football this season.

Yesterday I was surprised by the result of the match Shakhtar Donetsk and Manchester city. Didn't think the Ukrainian players will be able to win the match. Napoli left out of the competition in the Champions League.

Yes, I think it is a huge loss to Champions League when a team that plays quite beautiful football like Napoli fail to make it past group stage. Then again, with so many other good teams in there, can we blame the last 16 for featuring the best? Does anyone feel any of the progressors didn't deserve their place? Because I think all of them made good values.

Skybet is making nice odds for Champions League winner now by the way. If you choose Barca, Real Madrid and PSG, Manchester City, you get good odds to me, still win profit if one wins. Favourite by bookie is PSG, but only 3.5
I believe that if Napoli could not go any further, then they themselves are to blame for this. It was necessary to fight in every match. Shakhtar, does not have such a selection of players, was able to go to the playoffs.

among the 16 qualified teams, Basel, Besiktas and Shaktar were real surprises.
Surely At.Madrid, Napoli and Borussia Dortmund(relegated to Europa League in there will be among the favorites) were much stronger.
in Champion's league each team must always play 100%, otherwise it is difficult to qualify for each team

It remains to wait for the next round of the Champions League draw. Too many interesting couples we'll see in the spring. I hope I see beautiful games.

One more English club to go and we have one of the best (IMO) KO stages we have seen as of late.  I have grown sick and tired seeing the Spanish clubs dominating the CL.

Totally with you here, tokeweed. Not knocking the Spanish league or style at all, quite enjoyable at times but as a spectator who also loves playing football, there's a lot of entertainment value with English football even when fused with continental styles depending on their manager. That rough and tumble, bursts of speed... I can recall when eras were defined by which leagues dominated Champions League - we've had the Italians dominate, then the Spanish, I think it's about time for an English showdown. The best thing right now is that if all 5 qualify, they still won't meet any English team at least until the quarterfinals.

I don't think there's ever been 5/8 teams from one league in the CL Quarters has there? Liverpool's game tonight is so mouthwatering, can't wait to see Mane and co splash blood at Anfield. Too bad they're not even 1.3 odds on ML, or I'd have put a nice fat bet down.

There's a chance one English club will meet Chelsea in the KO stages since the blues finished second in their group.  Sad

But we'll see, the draw is gonna be on the 11th.  Woohoo!

Beşiktaş odd was over 8.00. Liverpool game over 6.5 goals odd was over 8.50. If you combine these two you would get 68 odds. I wonder if somebody make that parlay.

Oh it would have been a wonderful night for whomever parlayed the underdogs Besiktas, Feyenoord and Shakhtar last night. Doubt many punters would have bet more than 3.5 goals on the Liverpool game I'm really surprised only 8.5 for over 6.5 goals!

But what a night for the Fab Four, this was the game everyone was waiting for, for all three forwards on the pitch and fed by Coutinho. Once Lallana is back, we'll have the best firepower of any English team. Sturridge even almost got on the scoresheet but for his point blank miss. Bleeding Ronaldo still tops the CL top scorer wih 9 but Salah and Firminho on 6 could pip him and Neymar quite easily.

Maribor may have been expected but shipping 7 past a team with only 1 loss in 16 is a statement of intent. Liverpool to have an outside chance of winning CL?

ATH.BILBAO VS REAL MADRID , real madrid must be win .
It will be a particularly strong match that Atletico Bilbao is playing in her country. Such weak teams will be strong against the big teams
BILBAO VS REAL MADRID will be definitely a big and must watch match. Although Real Madrid has one of the glorious and legendary history in football but Bilbao remains behind a step or two. If Bilbao would have been playing against Real in any of the ground in Spain except their home ground, then there would have been a lot of score difference to see but playing in their home ground will not lead them to that situation.

this is the real liverpool. It must be said, that's how Liverpool play if Henderson is not in the starting Eleven. Captain is still less qualified, he has a leadership spirit that is not enough quality is still lacking. Last night Liverpool showed the quality of their real line of attack. Their defense is not very tested, but they played well last night.

Borussia Dortmund today started terrible and conceded 2 fast goals. But later they proved that they can play good fotball. But last 20 minutes Real dominated again. Maybe it's time to say goodbye to Borussia coach Bosz?
Napoli eliminated after group stage. It's surprise, but not sensation. Shakhtar is really good team and they deserved to go further.
Poor Spartak Moscow - conceded 7 goals against Liverpool. But despite that, they will play in Europa league playoffs. Maribor draw against Sevilla is biggest surprise tonight.
And my prediction for playoff draw - Real Madrid will get Besiktas, mark my words. Cheesy

iam not believe liverpool can win 7-0 meet CSKA moscow
fantastic and amazing liverpool performance and philipe countinho(create 3 goal)
They won against Spartak, not CSKA. I just remind that they are champions of Russia...

This is the first time in Champions League history that five teams from one country qualified for knock out phase.
I have noticed that same thing, domination of teams from one championship that lasts for few years and I agree that maybe it is time for teams from Premier League to sit on the throne of strongest European football competition. Premier League have at least 8 teams that can beat almost anybody and I find their competition as one of the most interesting of them all, while in all other we can find four teams maximum that fight for championship title.
Liverpool finished group phase as first seeded and what a victory for the end... Not just they demolished Spartak but they really played beautiful football.

5 English teams qualified, wow! It will be an interesting round of 16 draw.
Beşiktaş and Porto played great. Liverpool also found 7 goals. I wish draw will be Friday but it will be Monday. Can't wait to see draw. Smiley

Group stage is over, and I think we're going to have one of the best Round of 16 of the last few seasons. We could see some crazy matches: PSG - Manchester United, Real Madrid - Manchester City, Juventus - Manchester United, Barcelona - Bayern Munich, Tottenham - Sevilla,  Chelsea - Barcelona, and I could go on. It's going to be insane.
The team that everybody wants in the next round are Basel, Shaktar, and Besiktas, for obvious reasons.

Also, Napoli, Atl.Madrid, Dortmund are going to Europa League, which could also have some great matches in the next round.
