EU proposals will force multinationals to disclose tax arrangements


US multinationals such as Google, Facebook and Amazon will be forced to publicly disclose their earnings and tax bills in Europe, under legislation being drafted by the EU executive.

The European commission is to table legislation in early April aimed at making the world’s largest multinational corporations open their tax arrangements with EU governments to full public scrutiny.

According to three senior EU officials familiar with the proposals, initial conclusions from an ongoing impact assessment have found in favour of obliging large corporations to reveal their profits and the tax they pay in every country in which they operate within the EU.

The commission president, Jean-Claude Juncker, is said to be in favour of the initiative. A consensus has formed around making the rules apply to the world’s biggest conglomerates, including those from the US, the officials said.

Eurocrats “are currently finalising the impact assessment work. It’s likely there will be some form of legislative initiative announced for the beginning of April … for public country-by-country reporting,” said a source.

This seems to be a design flaw in the very structure of the European Union.  One country at the border can open the faucet, then a million flood in and can go anywhere, because of open borders within the EU.

This idea of open borders has got to end. Countries can't sustain the cost, nor should they be expected too, The US is fast becoming a third world country, and sadly, Europe will if they don't get a hold of illegal immigration right away.

^^^^ These are just drama to fool the ordinary citizens. I don't think that Sweden is going to deport more than a few hundred immigrants. Already they are saying that they will deport these 80,000 in a five-year time frame, using close to 1,000 chartered flights. At the most, they will conduct 4 or 5 chartered flights and will shelve the plan citing financial constraints.

In November 2015 Donald Trump announced as president he would remove the millions of illegal immigrants from the United States.

Of course, this idea was widely ridiculed by the liberal media establishment.

On Wednesday Sweden announced it will deport 80,000 migrants or half of the asylum requests from 2015.
The Guardian reported:

    Interior minister Anders Ygeman said on Wednesday that the government was planning over several years to deport up to 80,000 people whose asylum applications are set to be rejected.

    “We are talking about 60,000 people but the number could climb to 80,000,” he told Swedish media, adding that, as in Finland, the operation would require the use of specially chartered aircraft.

    He estimated that Sweden would reject around half of the 163,000 asylum requests received in 2015.

On Thursday Finland announced it would remove 20,000 to 32,000 migrants or 65% of new 2015 arrivals.

    Finland has joined Sweden in announcing plans to repatriate tens of thousands of migrants whose asylum requests will likely be rejected.

    The two Nordic countries are both struggling to cope with with an unprecedented influx of refugees and migrants fleeing war and misery in the Middle East and elsewhere, and they receive among the highest number of arrivals per capita in the EU.

    The Finnish government said it expect to deport around 20,000 of the 32,000 asylum-seekers it received in 2015.

Cologne and Bonn carnival organisers have begun handing out rules for refugees for next week’s jollity – with warnings about women, alcohol and urinating in public.

The cities are on edge after mass sexual assaults by immigrants against hundreds of women on New Year’s Eve in Cologne. The number of complaints resulting from the frenzy in and around the main station now stands at over 820.

Carnival is, if anything, even bigger than New Year in the Rhineland where cities like Bonn, Cologne and Dusseldorf go crazy in a week long celebration of parades, parties, dances and fetes.
