I think it is true. The poloniex is the biggest exchange now. But I think it will be replaced by the bittrex since new alt coins are always listed on brittrex. More and more investors choose to buy new altcoins.

Yes most of the people I know that are altcoin trading are now moving their coins from Poloniex to Bittrex because they are afraid Poloniex might close down and would bring all their coins to nothing, plus there was a new terms and conditions updated by the site so maybe some caused panic also when that was posted.

Did anyone read the new terms and conditions??  It would be much appreciated if someone posted the short and sweet version of it!!  I just glanced over it quick just before I transfer'd all my coinage to bittrex!!

To keep coins on any exchange is always too risky. The best way is keep on your own wallet. I think we need a big decentralized exchange and it's will appear soon.

Is everybody thinking Polo is going down and moving their coinage off their site to Bittrex!!?

I trust none. There is no difference between poloniex and bittrex for security issues.
But poloniex is still easier to use by mobile phone. And i dont have a better option. So i will continue trading on poloniex till i find a better alternative...

All the talk about Polo going down got me paranoid!! Moved everything to Bittrex!! I'll have to get a new laptop and install the wallets on there.  I don't trust my current laptop thinking it's got malware from all the downloading I do!!

...but do you use your laptop for login at exchanges??

If so, it's not much better. Use malwarebyte, it's free and do a really good job cleaning malwares.

I log on using my iPhone!!!

Never used polo and at this stage probably never will. In comparison Bittrex have been far more trustworthy and open about what they are doing, polo have shot themselves in the foot with their inability to scale.

Poloniex is for me better better they have a far greater volume, and for a trader like me, this is the most important thing. They graphic is also simpler and easier to use when compared to the slow T-rex of Bittrex.

I know this is not at all recommended to keep money in exchanges, but still I have about half a bitcoin there. I doubt it will go down, because it case it will, I can assure you that will be a disaster...

After Btc-e scam people start to lose trust on exchanges again.
I suggest you to use your own wallet with private keys.

People are loosing trust in centralized exchanges. The future belongs to the decentralized exchange built by BLOCKNET. your private keys never leave your computer:

BLOCK = the first ever truly decentralized coin and token exchange platform.

Some of this time polo service is very bad, I decided to withdraw my assets and move them to my wallet.
i do exchange only in the market that has been registered in my country,
i chose to stay away from poloniex due to recent negative comments,
just look at their twitter is full of complaints.

I don't think poloniex will be shut down but there is a good think that btc-e caused people to diversify your coins between exchanges or offline wallets.

If you are holder and want keep your coin safest. You should use wallet can keep private key is best choice. Because putting all your funds to an exchange have many risk than split it to more parts, the circumstance as BTC-e can repeat anytime will make you tired, boring.

Hello. Bye.
There not going down, but you should be keeping your coins in a private wallet and not an exchange.
How do you know that the Poloniex exchange is not going down anytime soon? There’s a large number of Bitcoin Exchanges that were once thought to be popular and maintained good credibility until those places went offline and left with all the people’s coins.

If a website goes down more than once then it would be used with more caution that before because people don’t really want to lose their money when they notice the support from that website.

True, I don't know that its not going down but I do know that regardless of weather it goes down or not no one should leave any coins on any exchange.

I don't believe Poloniex is going down but their service sure does suck which is why I moved to Bittrex.

I guess whether you believe they are going down or just plain hate their service you will probably move your coins.

My personal experiences with Poloniex have been nothing but positive over my 3 1/2 years using them fairly regular.

Given the diversity of their user base, recent explosive growth and having to deal with regulatory headaches of being a US based exchange I honestly am amazed they have held it together and continued business as normal with minimal disruptions.

Nope. Polo always comes through for me for 3.5 years almost now. But I would love for some people to leave Polo so things can be more balanced. They were overloaded with people and now it's good to see Bittrex getting some more users. Expect Bittrex to have issues as they grow as well.

I cannot name a single exchange that has not had some connection issues, withdrawal issues, or support issues.

Never keep everything in one place regardless.
Balance between many.

Kraken - Coinbase - Gemini
Poloniex - Bittrex

These are trusted exchanges. Not like non-US exchanges of the past. And not exchanges run by a criminal like Cryptsy was.

Those are the most trusted places as of now.
