Just-Dice.com has always had a 1% house edge.

You may be getting confused by one of the following:

1) Erik Vorhees apparently once said that it wouldn't be profitable to run a dice site with an edge lower than 1.9%, which is the edge at SatoshiDice, which he used to own.

2) Just-Dice used to have a maximum profit per bet of 1% of the bankroll.  This was found to be too high, and caused the profit to go negative when we were attacked by a whale.  We lowered it to 0.25%, and then put it up to 0.5% a few days later.

The bottom line is that to be confident of making a profit you need to have your maximum profit be a smaller percentage of your bankroll than the house edge percentage.

Holdaaja you believe all these statics are right because they are showing too much in wagering mean 7428 is too much from my point of view

The site wagered amount is significantly increased in the past 24 hours and we have our newest champion, 1DiCe1. Big congratulation to him!

After suffering from losses few weeks ago, 1DiCe1 manage to recover his losses and turns it into a huge ~50 BTC profit. 1) I propose a color scheme for people on the chat. We do have pink for mods, how about using Blue, red, green for various people? Investors, gamblers, whales, ect.
Noted, I agree this need to be implemented soon, although we might need to think for the details (ex: what happened when a player is both an investor and gambler)

2.) How about a positive sound effect every time someone wins? Think of a *ka ching sound. IT can be disabled, of course.
Noted, previously we are unsure because it might annoys most of the player. But if some players feel the need to add the thrill, this might be interestion addition.

3.) The commission system needs an overhaul, imo. I propose cut the ref bonus on winning bets, take commission on people without refers and have you charge 5% of commision AFTER earnings, not after every bet. It doesn't change on the commission in the long run, but it makes it more fair. Let's do away with the BTC bonus on all wagered, it's nuts.
Hmmm, just to confirm, do you mean for ED to take cut from investors' profit? We'll think about this as well as this is requested by some investors.

4.) We can add a few more achievements, 150+ profit, grand investor, ect.
Noted Ruru, however it might not be our highest priority at the moment.

I see, we are still unsure about this at the moment. It has been created these way to save the network consumption for the users.

What if someone spams 100 BTC and wins... the investors get charged 0.001% every bet? so it's like 10 bitcents per bet. that's not good.

Actually it is 0.1% Ruru (100 BTC * 0.1% = 0.1 BTC). But this is still way lesser compared to the expected profit of 0.99% * 100 BTC = 0.99 BTC

I think it was the dooglas dice site that was attacked or whatever for having a 2% house edge, and everydice is way lower than that.  I actually think it was more along the lines of saying a 2% house edge site could not survive because house edge is so low.

Hi Sandi, sorry for the inconvenience... The server load did increase and made the site unavailable for some users over some period of time However everything is normal again after that, however I think it has nothing to do with kitkit


We have put our site behind CF and sort of attack should trigger the defend mechanism. I haven't heard about group of people doesn't like the idea of sites with less than 1% HE too, but that is an interesting news

Someone attacks this site because it has 0.01% too low house edge? 
Is it really that big difference competitors lose too much customers/can't lower that 0.01% too ?
