Well said, never go for something big while you are not big enough to handle that thing, take small steps, diversify yourself means even if you want to cross lane do it by managing the risk, diversify your portfolio, take small steps by starting with small, never left your previous source of income until you get something to hold onto another business. All-rounders are not the successful ones, except for a few (the lucky ones) you have to focus on one thing at a time.

I understand this but still want to be an all-rounder to impress other people, the big factor urging people to become an all-rounder is social media, because we see different types of characters there and want to become all of them. This is not good and the first thing we have to understand is, not everything is real on social media that you should follow at all cost. So, be yourself, get some skill you love, if the current one is not the one you love then drop it and find some other, because you have time.

OP reminds me of some motivational speakers who come up with so many success strategies, meanwhile they are not even successful , just kidding. However, I think you have a point that we have great gifts and abilities that we can use to succeed. These abilities are dormant because we have not put them to work or tried to do what we think we can.

Copying other people's business or skills is one of the reasons why people fail. It is common to see people establish a business because they see that someone else is succeeding in it. Immediately one persons starts a new business within a few months multiple people have established the same business. You cannot be successful by engaging in a rampant business. We should learn to be creative and innovative if we want to run a successful venture.

It is only people who are greedy or discontent that would want to do everything they see others do. If you are good in just one business people will patronize you. It is not bad to diversify into other businesses but it should be done after a comprehensive analysis and projections. Just be the best you can and have good customer relations, with hard work and dedication, your business will flourish.

First step is to know yourself, second step is to change into that being you wish to be.

While it's true that we possess certain qualities within ourselves that contribute to success, it's equally important to acknowledge that we often need to seek knowledge and insights from others to truly excel in life. No one exists in isolation. we all depend on the wisdom, guidance, and support of those around us.You may believe that you have the drive and ambition necessary for success, including a hunger for knowledge, a desire for wealth, and a commitment to achieving your goals consistently. Well, you should  to recognize that success is not solely a solitary pursuit.It often involves collaborating with others, learning from their experiences, and leveraging their expertise to navigate challenges and seize opportunities.

Regarding your second point, I must express my reservations about the notion of shutting down a business entirely in pursuit of greater success. While it may seem tempting to focus solely on one venture, the reality is that success often stems from diversification and adaptability.
Many accomplished individuals you see today are not only entrepreneurs but also investors in various enterprises. They understand the value of exploring different avenues and supporting the endeavors of others.

while self reliance seems to be a nice idea most times, it's better to remain open to the contributions and support of others on the journey toward success. Collaboration, mentorship, and collective effort often pave the way for greater achievements in life.

Everything you need is actually not within you, sometime you need to cross other people's lane in order to become successful. The path to success is not fixed and this is the reason you should not limit yourself to your own ideas. Try out what others are doing and it might probably work better for you. You really don't need to go 360 degrees but you don't also stay stagnant waiting for opportunities to come by, you look for it and grab it. It might come through someone or self realized. By the way, success depends on your mindset and believe. It doesn't just happen like that, you must work hard for it and show determination.

Some persons close their long term built businesses to sought for a bigger one and end up losing both instead of making the one they are well acquainted with larger and better.
