Hi EWBF,

Can we use this new miner to mine the coins that use 200, 9 like zencash?

Any chance dev could make it work with maxwell architecture my 980ti on old algo was pulling 480 to 500 sol on new algo 9 to 11 would be much appreciated.

I suppose it's the same case as Maxwell on DaggerHashimoto. I remember that every DAG file (every 2 weeks)  my GF970s made less and less comparing to 1060s (12 MH to 25 MH for example) while the power consumptiong was 160W to 100 Watts.  Finally I stoped to mine DaggerHashimoto  and soon sold my 970s to gamers.

mining rig 9x 1070ti and one 1070.
Keeps crashing half of the gpus thread exited with message:''out of memory''

works fine in old ewbf,tried to remove overclock settings same,tried to run 2 instances of ewbf same...

any help would be much appreciated...

Yes, this is virtual memory, try to increase the paging file to 30 - 50 Gb

Thanks a lot, it worked 325avg sols.<3 https://imgur.com/a/DG16YnS

Still couldn't make it work with 12 cards and was forced to separate the rig into 2 instances.
The 2x1070's were shown as stuck and miner was trying non stop to restart them. https://imgur.com/a/eJxHk3J

I've tested the Funakoshi miner in 3.2 version (last one).
It is not a final release : just a beta one.
It's working, but make very very few shares.
Back to EWBF, very stable in Cuda8 version (some issues with Cuda9 version : Windows 10-64).

i tried with one 1060 3gb it works but the shares are not showing on the pool it stays at zero is this beacause it's just too low 19 sols? my 8 card rigs shows up just fine....Huh

Try using a port that is very low difficulty.  The pool may be sending you shares that are too big for the card to solve before the next share is received and it has to start again.

Memory speed on the 1070's doesn't seem to matter much.

Power is expensive here, so the less power the better.

Is getting 29.5 sol/s on a 1070 card doing 144.5 ZHash. Is that about right?
you can some more

EWBF Cuda Equihash Miner v0.2

Greetings!
This is the initial release of a new miner for Equihash algorithm.
It is based on my last Zcash miner and almost completely repeats it.
Now closer to the topic:
*  Parameter "solver" is disabled.
*  Solver for equihash 200,9 has been deleted.
*  Solvers for Equihash 192,7 and 144,5 has been added
*  Added timestamps in the output to the screen and to the log file.
*  Argument --algo is added, allow you to select Equihash variant allowed two values 144_5 and 192_7. This parameter is mandatory.
*  Argument --pers is added, allow you to set personalization string (8 charachters) for equihash algorithm. This parameter is optional. Equihash by default uses the string "ZcashPoW", many other coins also use this string, but not all, some coins use their own string, and these are all differences, so for some coins, you need to set the --pers option to the required string, for example, Zero coin: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/annzerzero-your-transactions-are-your-business-3310714  uses the string "ZERO_PoW" and for mining this coin you need to pass arguments --algo 192_7 --pers ZERO_PoW ....
Fee is presented and by default 2%, argument --fee is presented too.

v0.2
*  Reduced amount of rejected shares.
*  Performance 144_5 is increased by ~ 5%.
*  Added algorithm zhash it is similar to "--algo 144_5 --pers BitcoinZ." Now you can use "--algo zhash" string.

Expected performance:
144_5 uses ~2.2GB vram
 1050ti   ~12S/s
 1060    ~20S/s
 1070    ~30S/s
 1080    ~35S/s
 1080ti    ~55S/s

192_7 uses ~2.9GB vram
 1050ti    ~7S/s
 1060    ~12S/s
 1070    ~18S/s
 1080    ~20S/s
 1080ti    ~30S/s

Please note, that this is initial release, and it can be baggy or incompatible with many coins or pools.
Miner compiled with cuda 9.1 and cuda 8.0 for x64 linux and windows. Support devices with compute capability 5.0 and higher.

Microsoft Defender detects Trojan:Win32/Bluteal.B!rfn in your v0.2 version, please comment. Thank you.

What can I say ... it's just a miner without "additional features". This is a common situation where antiviruses detect miners as viruses. I can recommend you download the miner only from the first post of this topic.

Some tuning results of 1070 Ti:

PL=120 W
OC=+200/+1200

Nice. How you cooling rigs? Graphics are very close each other.

On the back site are 3 fans, each 3000 rpm, industrial version and a controller inside for speed adjustment,
best cooling effect if you have close case, 4.0 K less temp of GPU

how much Virtual Memory you using?  I've heard different numbers but I'm running my virtual memory at GPU ram * # of GPUs.

9744Mb didn't face any issues with the old ewbf tho...

I think you need 11-12Gb of pagefile. I had the same problem.

Several of the miners (and algorithms) that have come out in the past year do require more virtual memory to run without errors.  Generally the minimum you need is about 4GB per GPU, but it can be more then that in some cases.

I want to suggest to the creator of this miner, EWBF that he probably needs to squeeze more out of this miner. I base this assumption on the fact that when I mine with dstm miner I get 20-30 sol/s more per a single card, actually 1060 and 1050 ti tested, and 40-45 sol/s per card in the Gtx 1070/1070 ti at some friends computers.

This is just a friendly advice, which is something that can be done. I suggest this because the more brutal the "fight" between mining software creators the more good for us, the users.

Edit: I see it is already in progress, and I see it is already improved. Well done EBWF.

one more fork happen, and it's a good time to start mine Snowgem, because no nicehash, no amd and a lot of miners still sending rejected shares with old equihash stuff.
