I apologize for troubling you fellow's

I am still searching for a solution.

This is what is happening. The miner performs fantastic with 4 cards but when I add a fifth card only 3 cards are running. The 2 cards that are not mining show up in the device manager with code 12 - not enough free resources.

This rig consists of the following -

CPU  G4400 Skylake 1151
Biostar TB 250
4 gb RAM
4 x MSI 1070 8gb Armor  , 1 x MSI 1070 gaming 8gb (all on powered risers)
EVGA 1000 P2
120 gb SSD
Windows 10 64 bit Pro Version 1703 (just updated)

I ran into a similar problem with RX 570's and never quite figured out the driver patch until I watched Cryptomined's video. By then I had already switched over to ethOS. Which by the way runs fantastic. To bad there is no support for Nvidia with it. I have 4 rigs running that presently. Rig5 is the first Nvidia rig and today is the first time I have had more than 4 cards.

If someone could point me to a link or thread or anything I would really appreciate it.

TIA

I think your PSU is too thin on power.
(5 gpu *150w)+(5risers*25w)+100w for the rest= 975w at 82% performance = 1150w.@ the wall.

Thanks for the response.

I swapped out a 1300 from a different rig. I am getting the same result. The four card system is drawing 628 according to a killawatt.
I have searched just about everything I can think of. I haven't even found anyone else having the same problem.

This error won't be related to power or available power, it is most likely due a shortage of PCIe lanes.  Are all of your PCIe connectors set to 1.0 or 2.0 in the bios?

How can I affect the PCIe lanes on a Biostar tb 250?

At the start of the day PCI-e's were set to automatic and were working fine. They are now set to gen 2. That has had no effect on the system. I just changed miner mode to disabled. No effect 3 out of 5 work. Take one off, 4 out 4. I have swapped out one of the armor's for the gaming and 4 out of 4. I replaced the riser on the new card (gaming). same thing 3 of 5 , 4 of 4.

Thanks again.

In bios > advance settings > Peg1 & peg0 should be set to Gen1
                                     > above 4G     enable.
High definition audio = disable.

On one of my MSI MB I had to flash update the bios to get an option saying "Mining ------" cant recall exactly.

hi, since i formatted my pc to move to win7 from win10, ewbf is slowing my desktop, tryed other driver (was using 382.53, now 378.78), any help pls? sol/s is fine, around 300 on both systems, is just the sluggish feel on desktop that i hadn't on win10, my gpu is a gtx 1060 6gb
i`ve had the same problem on windows 10 after i updated the nvidia drivers at the last last version .53 , i solved the problem making the windows update , and changed in nvidia control panel   optimal power --> high perfomance

it's already on high performance, it's better with 378.78 but the sluggish feel still, also, nheqminer 5.0c don't make this sluggish feel, but the sol/s is ~260
tried with 0.3.3b and 0.3.4b

Do you use afterburner? problems with last updates and AF. I moved to evga precision X

Precision X will only support 4 cards, so if you have more you will still need to use Afterburner.

What application are you using to get that image?

Also, why does a GPU reject a share?

Using the api option in the miner and going to the address in a web browser is all.

Your GPU isn't rejecting the share, the pool is. You find a share and submit it, but it reaches the pool after it's already moved on to the next block, that's why it's rejected.

As in, when we get the red text such as
INFO 08:22:05: GPU2 Rejected share 345ms [A:41, R:2]

I am waiting on 3 more cards to arrive today, but so far with my rig of 3x 1070s I am getting a decent 1340-1360 Sol/s with 0.3.4.

hi friends!

I'm new here.
I bought 4 x zotac gtx 1080 ti amp edition

So as I haven't got risers yet I put up today

2x gtx 1080 ti with ewbf 0.3.4

everything was running fine for a few hours (tdp 90-100%)
but then ewbf started stopping

so I discovered that a card now is working only if I put it a 60% tdp... but I can assure you that before it was running perfectly at 90-100% tdp.

to be sure of that I took out of the box another 1080 ti and replaced the strange one.

Now everything is working fine again.

I think ewbf 0.3.4 blow cards... I read this from some other of you.

What are your effective Core and memory clocks, temperature and voltage?

I'm running a 1080ti at 1974 core, 5702 memory, 950mv and 67C.
And i'm getting around 770 per card.

I think all you guys with crashing cards need to turn down your power limit and OC.

This is on a power limit of 73%, +175 core and nothing on the memory.
