i'm having a problem here. I don't know if it's because i'm using the latest driver from Nvidia
or if is because i'm using the latest version of windows 10, Windows 10 pro creators edition.

it's showing this error: http://imgur.com/a/xkFbs
i've tested all the miners you can think . the only one working right now is the eqm_V1.0.4cWin64

can someone please help me ?

obs: Yes i've checked my .bat file they're ok with the pools , and yes i did open the ports in the modem and router and shutdown the windows firewall and any windows antivirus.
and any antivirus at all.

I really don't know what to do.

Can you post your .bat file contents?

Yeah sure. here:http://imgur.com/a/IpnQY

I'm new to mining
Using GTX 1080Ti and I'm getting 750sol/s using EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner Version 0.3.3b.
Comparing with Nicehash excavator which gets only 700sol/s
My OC settings are:
TDP: 118%
Core Clock:+150
Memory Clock:+650
Temp: ~ 71C
Aggressive fan curve

Note: I have no power cost that's why I'm trying to get maximum speed.

Anyone have the sols/s on the new 15g/s gtx 1080? I hope it's at least 550.

Hey! Can you help?

Im using Zec miner 0.3.3b and MSI Afterburner. Settings to all 4x GPUs are 80, 100, 500.

And each of them giving about 470 sol. But sometimes after restarting miner some of the GPU is giving 410 sol instead of 470 as always. So its become 470 410 470 470. What could it be and how to fix that?

It can be fixed if i manually will make default settings in Afterburner and bring it back to 80, 100, 500 in this GPU. Or restarting PC is helping too.

Are you, by chance, remoting into that desktop using something like Chrome Remote Desktop?

I have the same problem he describes, but only when using Chrome Remote Desktop..why does that happen with this program?

Also, you get the best efficiency when using 85-92% of the available watts. A rig that draws 900W on a 1300w supply would be @ 70% and a waste of electricity and extra heat for the conversion.
U`re wrong:
50-75% of power  Wink

This is right.

Lucky I live in a country that the power standard is 240v. Wink

But on the downside, power is expensive so i always buy platinum+ power supplies and try and run them as close as i can to there maximum efficiency point.

It is quite easy to locate and you are correct to figure out what your draw is to the appropriate the power supply. Many years ago before power factor correction became cheap and many advances in AC/DC mosfets, the sweet spot ( ideal conversion efficiency ) was around 60%. Anyone buying anything bronze+ rated now should buy according to their true needs. Keep in mind that most ratings such as you have posted are using 230V as a platform which in itself is a better ( flatter ) conversion. This is why I am using US 240V myself and getting the slightest little extra advantage Wink

You're extremely wrong. Do a bit of research before you throw out an opinion you have no clue about.

It is quite easy to locate the power curve for almost any new power supply.  The best thing to do is figure out what your expected draw is, and compare that to the power curves.

for example an EVGA SuperNova P2 1000 is most efficient around 400 - 500 watts

So, if you were drawing 400w from the supply you could expect a draw at the plug around 420 - 425w (93% efficiency).

If you were drawing 1000w from the same supply you could expect a draw around 1080w at the plug (92% efficiency).

fast question anybody running 6 or 7 card rigs?

I was wondering if I should try to run a rig with a lot of cards.

Biostar Z170 Racing/6GPU/W10/G4560

1 1070, 5 1060 3GB, all OCd

~440 H/s on 1070@77% powlim
~285 H/s per 1060@75% powlim

I'm setting up a rig with 6 gtx 1070s. Is a 1300w psu good enough to run it stably?

I run 6 comfortably on a EVGA P2 1200 power supply
I'm setting up a rig with 6 gtx 1070s. Is a 1300w psu good enough to run it stably?

Depends whether you aim for maximizing hashrate or going for optimum H/Watt.
If hashrate is your aim then go for it.
If power-saving with optimum H/W is your aim, you will lower power limit to 120W and raise core/memory clocks.
1300W PSU is definitely overkill in that scenario.

Thanks to both of you. That puts my mind at ease. I think I'll just go for maximum hash rate since I have 1300w. And just to clarify I'm running the motherboard/hdd etc off of the same psu. The power draw from those parts is also small so I assume that 1300w is sufficient for everything.

There is no need to go with such a high wattage power supply for a new rig (assuming new cards). I run rigs with 6 x 1070's @ 100% TDP on an EVGA 1000 watt power supply with no issues. I do have mine connected to 240v for a bit better efficiency but it works fine on 120 as well. Every new card that comes out from now on will likely draw less power than its predecessor even with the big guns. Nvidia's Volta is due early 2018 now, and AMD well who cares but they are trying...

The mining rig is on Windows 8.1.
Im connecting to this pc via my main pc on which Windows 7 installed using DRP.

So its My PC (Windows 7) ->RDP->Mining Farm(Windows 8.1)

Did you know what could be a problem?

Hi there. I don't know what the problem is as I'm having the same. Though I'm getting somewhere. Open after burner and detach your monitor. Make sure you can see all Gpu Power draw, and remove temperature so it doesn't take up as much space. Find your Gpu which looks unstable, then figure out which one it is. Now turn down your comp and simply switch it with another 1 on the PCI slot in your motherboard. Eg. Card nr 4 goes into slot nr 5,and vise versa.

This stabilized all my cards. And I haven't had a crash for 24 hours now.
Also, I stooped using any cards that's not Pascal.
