EVGA GTX 950 has Samsung memory, so if they are willing to put it on that card I would be surprised if they didn't use it on the GTX 1060 3GB.  You might look into a shipping forwarder if you want to buy from newegg.  The rebates would be useless though as  you have to live in the US, heck at those prices the 6GB looks more compelling for only another $22 for non-SC and $7 for SC versus the 6GB non-SC
if the price gap was that small here I would be getting the 6GB but only for the extra compute core I could care less about the extra memory

Ah the price is as follow, i wasn't accurate enough, sorry

Zotec Mini GTX 1060 3GB : 223€
EVGA GTX 1060 3GB: 215€
EVGA GTX 1060 SC 3GB: 229€

Zotec Mini GTX 1060 6GB : 280€
EVGA GTX 1060 6GB: 285€
EVGA GTX 1060 SC 6GB: 290€

so according to what you were saying, the 3GB is the most interesting because the 6GB is overall 25% more expensive for like 10% more hash something like that ?
Yes that is my assessment

hello lads. thinking about buying one GTX 1070 for test RIG (all other rigs are on AMD) and would like to know what brand and model is best for mining. any1 have any hints? Ive read MSI isnt that good same as EVGA...what about Palit, Zotac and others? every1 is posting their results, but not the cards they r using. would appreciate your infos. thx

palit jetstream, i regret buying g1 gaming, they perform lower on average than other, the palit jetstream seems the best

thx, just bought it for 417€ from amazon. i think its a good deal to start with. Jetstream has an enormous cooling system from what i've seen. gonna test it tomorrow and will post the results. what driver version are you guys on? any settings for a sweet spot? Cheesy

each card is different u'll have to find your right settings, myself i do +150/+600 @ 60% tdp, good luck with testing Smiley i use latest 372.33 i think

Lower your OC, it's not connection issue.

No overclock here, stock settings.

Latest version loses connection every few hours and does not reconnect.

MSI GTX 1070 Gaming 8GB

440 H/s
+550 mem
+150 core
65% TDP

6 cards drawing 1000W total from the wall, including rest of system.  Roughly 150W per card.  Haven't done much tuning yet, pretty sure I can get the power down and hash rate up a bit.

The only problem with the RX470/ 480 is in order to get good numbers you have to mod the bios which voids the warranty otherwise it's as good or worse than the GTX 1060 3GB.  you can pretty much forget about anything but ETH/ XMR/ or ZEC with the RX 480 it's TDP ranges from 150 to 225W and the RX 470 is better prom a power and price point of view.  The RX 470 is competitive with the GTX 1060 3GB on ETH and beats it hands down in XMR while ZEC goes to GTX 1060 3GB, power wise GTX 1060 wins, Price wise RX 470 wins although this gap is closing

Thanks a bunch for the infos.

Yeah that was kinda my thinking because of my high electricity price Sad (nearly 15c/kw here ;_; ) So for you for the cheaper rig you would go with 3GB 1060 because the added price on the 6GB isn't worth it ? Im kinda looking at fact that making 2x6 1060 card rig cost a bit more than making 1x 1070 rig and it would roi fast... Here a 470 4GB is the same price more or less 3% than a 1060 3GB so...

Also XMR/monero upgrade for nvidia is coming for sure, sp_ has a private miner that does 550sol on 1060 and 900 on 1070 so it'll be around sometime soon, if not by him, by someone else, nvidia is getting traction Smiley

Last do you have a brand/version to recommend for 1060 3GB ?
Zotec Mini, ZT-P10610A-10L, they are the only ones that I have used and are $199 on Newegg at the moment.  Newegg has some others that are less than that and a couple that are $195 and $185 after rebate.  Zotec I can confirm on that model has Samsung memory models or at least mine do and they were bought about two months apart.  Eth mining I can get stable at 9600Mhz mem clock gpu core is stable @ 2025 at stock PL reducing only hurts dual mining and if just ETH  you can leave the core alone.

Nice thx for the infos !

Here thoses are about 223€ (i would love to have those newegg prices lol), EVGA models are 215€ for normal, and 229€ for the SC. Dunno about EVGA memory brand on thoses ones, gonna look for infos.

edit : ok evga 6GB found it's samsung memory, still looking for the 3GB but probably the same.

Hi, I'm having a weird issue with my memory clock while using this miner.
I have a GTX 970 G1 gaming and when i use this miner, the memory clock gets stuck to 3004Mhz in Afterburner (P2 State) and stays there, but when i quit the miner it goes up to 3500Mhz where its supposed to be.

Overclocking does nothing, i can't even underclock when running the miner(i don't use other miners). Also while gaming or running benchmarks it works fine and goes to P0 state instantly like its supposed to.
What could be causing this? Tomorrow i'll try and install Windows 10 fresh onto a partition to see if that helps.

Can anyone help me?
try the NVidia smi application
It should allow  you to adjust the power limit and clocks to get it back to P0 state
be sure and run command prompt as admin

I mine in P2 state and the performance it's pretty good, is it really necessary to be in P0 state for mining?, i don't think so.
