I often participate in airdrop campaigns sometimes there is also a scam coin, but if the coin is good and has the potential I will hold it until the price is high.
Knowing that you could get free coins from Airdrops, would you exchange it once you got the coins or hold it until the vslue rises up?
Better to research first about the team behind those token and not to regret once it rise to the moon. Holding it for 6 to 12 months will be advantage on your side that you can get good price.Holding strategy is a big risk but with this risk you can gain more profit on it but you must researched first to token you have hold if there's a good value in the market with the potential to rise and many investors are buying that token. If that token shows low value its better to sell it and invest to other coin or altcoin.

You'd better change it to ETH and buy tokens of ICP projects. It really depends on the coin, if it is a coin that has a good hype then I will exchange it and wait for the coin to come down again so that i will buy back the coin again then i will hold it and wait for another increase.

Well, airdrops don't give you so much tokens, only on some exchanges you could exchange. But I have a problem with this and I hold the tokens forcibly. But a few projects went up and made a profit, so sometimes it's good to do it on purpose.
Whether it be from the Airdrop or the bounty reward or the ICO first need to know the potential of that coin in the recent and in the future. If the coin gaining fast then exchange this for fiat or for another cryptocurrency. If, go loss then hold for the better value appreciation.

It does depend on your lifestyle and how much money that create such lifestyle for you. You will see a lots of new people in cryptocurrency are easily satisfy with pennies, but if you have a good life going for you, you will not take pennies!

Most of these airdrops are not really worth and just a waste of time. Yea i know that this is a free tokens or money but how long do you wait for those token to have a value and be able to trade on exchanges. Exchanges dont just list any cryptocurrency that easily because they have standards that those tokens should meet and most of those airdrop token cant meet that. But im not saying that all of those tokens from airdrops are trash because there are few of them that became more valuable. I will do some research on project , if i find it good then i will hold it if it is not that much good then i will sell or exchange it.
Me Too if it good just HODL it to the moon, if it is not that much good sell it I have HODL CMT and exchanged it when CMT reach 0.6$ (0.05 ICO price )
It's very simple, especially this coin obtained from airdrop that does not spend our money, so there will be no loss of capital.

Exchange or holding it depends on the coin you get. You should research the coin project whether it is good or not. If the coin has a good project so it is feasible, it is better to hold it first until the price rises. But if the coin does not have a good project so it is not feasible, it is better to directly exchange it. But usually if I get a coin I will exchange it even though I get it for free, because the price risk to go down so big that I will not take risks.
Research the airdrop you follow, i tend to hold, i did sell some, because the price was interesting and i wanted to buy a another dip/coin. But i'm for the long hold, there just might be one of the airdropped tokens that succeeds, for me Crypto is still young and upcoming, so all these tokens and coins have a long way ahead, worth holding.
Especially these days with tokens/coins that have some worldly use of the Blockchain popping up(logistics, housemarkets etc).

the moment you get the coins from airdrop, they're worth either nothing or next to nothing, in most cases. But if you hold it for some time, they can be worth quite nice amount. I'm struggling to understand why would you want to exchange something you get for free anyway if it's worthless yet can be worth something in future?

Hold, because tokens/coins from airdrops are dont have any value yet, asides from airdrops are just few or little in a amount to get, but also the value of it is too small, not enough to cover the gas fee or any transactions fee for deposit activity, so instead of dumping it, just hold and wait the price to raise.
How come each time we see the same question being posed "hodl or sell", we're in crypto. Patience is key 
I would rather hold it until it rises in price. For I believe in the saying patience is the key .
We should keep our currency for profit but if you want to exchange this with another coin,then you should choose a stable coin which seems to increase its rate.
It depends, if you are in a bear market , sell quick as possible. In a bull keep it. If you get now please sell it
