A HERO'S STORY(from the exchange's founder)
My personal journey as a Patriot began back on September 11, 2001. I was a sworn Police Officer attending a Hostage Rescue/High Risk Warrant class at the Blackwater Lodge & Training Center. I recall coming out of the shoot house that Tuesday morning and being informed by our Navy Seal Instructor that an airplane had just flown into one of the twin towers in NYC. It was not long after when a second plane crashed into the other tower all but confirming that our country was under attack. Watching television in the bunkhouse later that evening, I caught my first glimpse of the terrorist attacks and learned of the staggering loss of innocent lives. Like many other Americans the images and stories that unfolded had a profound effect on me, how could they not. I would like to share a story with you. Ever wonder what courage looks like? Look no further.

Colonel Dave Grossman (ret.) ends most of his talks with a picture of Chris and if you haven’t seen his presentation, then you need to. Here is what I heard the last time I saw Colonel Grossman: His name is Christopher Amoroso and at this point on that awful day the smoke and flames are so intense that they are coming down from those buildings in waves. They are coming down from both towers. They are coming down from all four sides. Strangers were holding hands on their way down, comforting one another. It takes a long time to die from 90 floors up. Every second is filled with despair. The sky behind is filled with falling bodies. The air above them is filled with smoke and flames and the awful sound of those bodies hitting the sidewalk are echoing in his ears.
Now do you understand why Chris looks like that? What makes Chris different from the other two is that he is going back. He’s going to drop off the pregnant lady and go back up that building a fourth time. The tower will fall and Christopher Amoroso will not come home to his wife and baby that night. Chris will never come home again. Do you understand that nobody told him to go? Why does one man go up the steps again and again and again and again while thousands are coming down? Because he’s a sheepdog! Inspired by the countless stories of bravery and personal sacrifice from our heroic First Responders, I passionately pursued improving my skills as a SWAT Operator & Firearms Instructor. As a staunch defender of our U.S. Constitution I appreciate the personal & financial freedoms which we are afforded.
After the financial collapse of 2008, I began to take an interest in equity markets and how they function. My initial journey to obtain a higher level of education in financial markets led me to achieving my securities license where I assisted families with insurance and financial investments. As an active trader of many asset classes I learned of the sudden rise of Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies. In 2016 I retired as a Police Officer on the very day which I was eligible. I am currently blessed to be able to spend so much time with my family as well as pursue other interests.
As Cryptocurrencies rose exponentially in price, I had finally begun to understand the technology and its probable future significance and trend. When the opportunity presented itself to become Co-Owner of a Crypto Exchange, it was a natural and perfect fit. I had already determined its name, “Patriot Exchange”. In honor of all of the amazing Patriots that have fought to defend and keep our country safe, I am grateful.
