Reality is tough, especially in crypto industry. I was hoping that 2019 would be the same as 2017 and that after one year fall, we would finally see some green light, but nothing happened. Only BTC is going strong.
2019 has been better in all aspects than 2018 for crypto, although we are in a stagnant market right now. When bitcoin started moving from the bearish zone of 3k$+ this year, many thought it will reach another all-time high. This wasn't the case as volatility remains a major crypto characteristic. I think BTC will rise very well next year before the halving news, after wish altcoins will rise. This is my own expectation from crypto market.
We're all expecting to bitcoin price gets higher but we can absolutely consider what is it now because it is not get stack on what it is now their was a time that the price of bitcoin is getting higher and getting lower. This incliment value of its price is a natural but bitcoin is more better when it is back on what it is before.
We are going to the final quarter of the year, so maybe some expectation might already change. For me, at the start, I was really expecting that BTC will be able to reach its new ATH this year, but in the 3rd quartet, there's no significant movement for BTC therefore it's hard to expect that it will just pump easily in the last quarter.
Well, I want to be wrong, but like everyone else, we changes our expectation based on the development of the market.
What I just like to see a healthy altcoin as this year, we haven't seen any great progress yet.

I do not know how close. But the market has begun to be conducive though not optimal. New strategies in marketing such as IEO provide a new colour, investors are quite interested especially those carried out by global markets such as Binance.
Hopefully the halving bitcoin period next year can become a mood booster. This drought is long enough.

Still expecting the BTC dominance to slash maybe to around 60-62% so maybe altcoin fill up that gap and we might have bullish run here and there and then maybe BTC picks up to 12k before the year end and am still seeing ETH near 300-250
Facebook's announcement about Libra is actually a good news because they were acknowledging it as a cryptocurrency which is a good factor to give the people idea on how good cryptocurrencies are. Although we also knew it that some were not.

Not yet, I have a big expectation and waiting for the higher price to be reached but I will not tell on how much I'm expecting. But things are getting better now and I think we are near to that time where everyone has to celebrate on how good the market is.

The expectations are high by the crypto investors but the market is the best expert without our opinion. The reality can hurt the crypto traders but there are no so many choices if the market doesn't move. Low volatility kills the profitability of the day traders and the latest news lost their value in the market. The Facebook coin will not solve the current bear market situation in the crypto market, BTC should lead the altcoin market to all-time high prices. The reality is there is no objective ICR rating websites with the solid analyze-research for the project searching investors. I don't think the token sale direction will change towards the mass adoption, it will be even worse for the crypto projects in the future. In fact my expectations for this year were very low and I was not really expecting the recovery that we saw, I was a little bit skeptical of the growth that we were seeing and I didn't change my opinion until April of this year, but despite my cautious attitude I was still invested in bitcoin so I was able to capture almost all the positive move in the price, and something similar is happening to altcoins right now, I'm not really expecting a huge movement during the rest of the year but during the past week we have seen some signs that could indicate that altcoins are ready for an altcoin season. I'd like to ask the community, is your expectation close to the reality that we've experiencing right now?
I think people are finding it difficult to adjust to the current reality in the space, the space is getting matured and do we expect the price of BTC to do 10X in the coming bull market, possible but difficult. The reality on ground is that the era of 10X, 20X seems to be disappearing and we need to be realistic and if the 10X and more come it would be a bonus
For me, the situation on the market is very joyful because the bullish trend can give good money, especially now when the domination of bitcoin is very high and after it starts to fall, you can earn very much on altcoins, I think in early October there will be growth!

Because our expectation was built around the profit that we can get form bitcoin investment, many of us always feel agitated concerning our involvement in bitcoin, we are not seeing bitcoin for what it was created for and that is the reason why we are not always patient and we want the money to come as fast as possible meanwhile we are not helping the situation. I'd like to ask the community, is your expectation close to the reality that we've experiencing right now?
I am not also saint in this, when 2019 started, all my focus was in was how the 2017 would repeat itself, and I rushed to quickly make heavy investment in some altcoins that we have which I could get cheap expecting that when the bull run starts this year, many of them would give me at least 100x profit, but along the line, I realized that we are not using crypto the way we should use it and expecting what is not going to happen.
My hope is that there is a trustworthy agency that screens new projects/ coins that are created, this will reduce fraud or failed projects, and will also affect the price of coins on market now
This is a really good solution for the entire cryptocurrency market. But I think that this international agency will appear on the market no sooner than in 2 years.

I have a very large expectations and I guess I set the bar a little too high and so my expectations has not been met yet but I have full confidence that it's just a matter of time, the crypto space is changing and things are moving very fast right now and I believe that the positive change we are all hoping for is just right around the corner.
We can still carry that expectation but not this year, maybe next year could be a different year and what we expect to happen this year we can carry next year, but in any circumstances, there should always a dividing line between our expectation and reality.
It's ok to have high hopes because we are investing a lot like an early adopter of this technology, only three months ago we can still hope our expectation can happen.

I was expecting the same in 2018. I'm waiting for the same in 2019. And the price is not growing and not growing. Only Bitcoin rose in price a bit and stopped. I think we need to stop waiting and do other things, maybe then we can see the growth of the crypto market.
I hope that in the last quarter of this year, the cryptocurrency market will grow again, but if this does not happen, then next year such growth will be for sure. For now, we need to be patient and accordingly prepare for such growth.
In terms of expectation about the current situation is not that big since we all know from the start prices are unpredictable. But the current price is not that bad unlike last year so I’m still seeing the growth will happen soon in crypto.

The expectations are not too close to reality, but at least this is much better compared to some time before. After the emergence of IEO, new hopes emerge, investors are again interested in investing, this makes the market a little attractive. This also affects the bounty. Projects that IEO in global exchanges such as Binance, Kucoin, etc. provide more interest, this gives hope that the tokens are not a scam and serious dev in handling the project.

My greatest hope is the return of the Altcoin glory. Until now it has not happened and I think by the end of the year or 2020 it could happen.
I really welcome the positive thing that Bitcoin can dominate the market. But the unwanted thing happened that with the dominance of Bitcoin makes all the prices drop Altcoin.
This was an event in the past year not like this. Supposedly by pumping the Bitcoin price, all the altcoins must fly high.
