I prefer a mixture of both as it's difficult to predict with bitcoins where it'll go. So I keep changing my strategies as per the prices, if it's low then I'll buy more and if it's high then I'll sell less at high price. I keep doing it and get exceptional good returns and the mid price is my profit. Though my preference is and has always been for the long run, as short run is scary.

Every investment is made for the return. Some investment is made for quick return and some for longer period of time. Some people also set their investment portfolio by mixing the twos. If we see the present market conditions we can easily say that this price of BTC will no longer be stayed in the market. This types of market in every year go through market correction. And as it has been over, it will break the previous year price. So, in present context we can invest it for a longer period of time. On the other hand, if we capable enough to use the volatility, then we can invest it for a short period of time. But, to do so you have to be a clear-sighted about the market. You must have insight news and off sight news available in your hand. Then you can harvest the profit and you can keep it into your pocket. But it is a little bit risky.

An investment should be long term and not for a short profit. Bitcoin will give as the opportunity to earn big in a short period of time but there's a risk on it coz the market is so volatile so expect more growing community around the corner. better hodl than to sell early.

Bitcoin has both facilities! For long term and short term. If you want to hold for a long time then you have to hold almost 6 Months to 1 year at least. Hope you will gain good profits. But if you understand market trend then you can trade bitcoin for a short term. When bitcoin was 7K or even 8K,  Of you bought that time then you already get 1200 USD Profit! That's why live traders are richer than holders

Some people invest in BTC for long period of time with an expectation of large amount. And some people invest for short period of time with an aim to short gain by using the volatility. Which one you choose most? and Why? Just sharing ideas.

I would prefer investing bitcoin in long term period to see actually how it grow so far. Many successful investors prefer to do long term investment because they can see significant impact in their profit gain.

In investing in bitcoin I choose investing in the short term and I use bubbles for my profit, selling during peak bubbles and I am patient to wait for the price to fall again.

In investing I use both ways, I use my funds to invest in the long term as well as short term for me to get results and use in close, and long-term needs for my old age investment.

Cause Trading, trying to catch swings, is much more profitable. There are two kinds of traders: Flow-Trader, they go with the market flow and reversal-traders, they try to catch "counterreactions" of the market. Usually, reversals are not more than 2 to 8 percent, but better predictable for an experienced trader. Flow-Traders can make more return, in case they are sitting on the right side.

An investor is simply spoken a flow-trader but tries to catch a swing on a higher timeframe (colloquial long-term).

In a nutshell, an experienced trader can make realistically and consequently up to 30% a year. An investor more, but only in the case he has time and is sitting on the right portfolio.

If someone wants to earn from bitcoin trading, knowledge about the market and close watch on market trends is must.  Short term trading may be done i.e. buying and selling the same day.
Some people buy bitcoin for long term investment with the intention to sell at the time when the prices are up.
But keep in mind every body who enters the market his intentions are just to gain something.  Suppose you buy btc @ $9 k then somebody who sold you may have purchased it @ $7k so with your purchase to gain something in future was the reason behind the gain of somebody else who purchased it sometime back with the same intentions.
So you became the target for him to earn money.
Now you are in the field to target somebody else to earn money.  Your target will be the person who buys it for more money than you invested.
But we have to be careful ; in case the downtrend starts; and suppose the same btc bought @ 9 k may be forced by the circumstances to sell @ 7k .  So may be you again became target; lossing $2k.
So expectations are always for gaining something but may have to loss too in some cases.
So we have to be careful; watch full; and full of knowledge if we want to gain.

For me I choose to invest for a long period of time so I will earn big. I have my work so I earn but not that big . I join here in crypto to earn big because my job salary cannot cater all of the expenses of my family even both of me and my husband is working it is not enough for our expenses. We need to earn extra money for our needs, even it is not weekly basis because we have a work.

Believe me I tried the short one and it doesn't work at all. I mostly ended up getting nothing, and got hyperactive with the results so changed the strategy to long hodler. This suggestion was made by most of the legends and seniors here so I listened to them.

Last time I sold my BTC was in December on the highest peak and after then I bought it again with January dip. Since then I am holding and the results are pretty good.

So long term holding it is.

If I choose a short-term investment. Because the other advantage of short-term investments is that you can get substantial results. With this type of investment, you can often realize good results after only a very short time. Then you sell security to lock your profits and look for something else to put in money.

I'm a hodler - holding on for dear life! It's a fun ride, Bitcoin's future has yet to arrive and I intend to be a participant when it does.

Trading is a tough thing, when you're winning you believe you can't be beat so you keep letting the plays ride. Then one day you do get beat and you double down or keep going again because you're sure the tides will change. It usually all comes down to the gambling mentality.
