Yes, I think there are many differences along the centuries, direct and indirect ones. A long time ago, I don't think gambling had the importance and role it has today. People lived more to work, raise a family and that was all. Festivals and leisure hours where they could gamble were limited on the lives of most people, since they belonged to inferior social classes. Moreover, money and income were more scarce for those people.

With the transformation of society and development of technology, we see people became more autonomous and able to manage their time as they wished, what proportionated them the possibility of spending longer periods of time with pleasant activities, such as gambling. Considering how easy internet and crypto have made gambling for us, it's also an important factor to take into consideration when observing the evolvement of gambling for all these years.

The negative side is that, of course, it's much harder to stop addiction when you are constantly exposed to the object of the addiction. And as we know, it's just not possible to not be exposed to internet nowadays, and therefore, online gambling.

Gambling has evolved ever since the COVID Pandemic hit. It diversified into other forms and it also tackled the online world where it proved that it can hold and be profitable in an online scale and environment. The beauty about online gambling is its simplicity and convenience- a person may opt to gamble at any place and at any time at their own convenience.

While others may enjoy gambling inside a casino, most enjoy gambling at their own leisure and space. I know some people who used to gamble in casinos shifted to an online setting given the innovations that was introduced all throughout.

With regard to breaking the addiction, I submit that it would be the same. The form may be different but it is still the same in its very essence- which is gambling.

On the contrary, I believe a gambler whether new will have to know the risk involved in gambling so they think of the losses that will come or the few that has come already but the thing is it is still minimal compared to the old gambler experience. So the newbie will have more hope that the next game will be a winning especially when he is yet to exhaust his bankroll. A totally different experience for those who have been in the gambling scene since the existence of street gambling until the online approach came. And it's even more different than of today because of the adoption of cryptocurrencies, we don't need to worry about the triggering notification that's going to tick us from the bank if ever we're going to deposit into a casino. Unlike before, there's always this notice and it's even a red flag to the banks that we're using.
