I just hope whoever sees this thread, does not misinterpret the information the OP is trying to pass across. Identifying those top altcoins with prospects might be difficult for some. That an altcoin is below the first 100 does not mean it cannot yield huge profit and that it is presently among the first 100 does not mean it will not result in loss.
Most altcoins, except for few do not last long. A lot of them that I have seen tend to make an ATH. So you have to be watchful. Know what the team of such project have in the pipeline because among those outlined milestones set be achieved on the roadmap, one of it will result in ATH.
Check which of it is more convincing and then follow it up. Well, you should not also total rely on that, because some people might be out to spread FUD during such period, in order to cause a plunge. They might and they might not succeed, which is why you need to be vigilant.

I prefer to focus on top alts now like eth, Tron, litecoin. Seems like we are nearing the bullish trend very soon, because BTC is doing really incredible. For small investors this could probably be the best chance to make use of this market, hopefully the market will gear up and comeback stronger than before.
what I'm worried about is the price of bitcoin which suddenly dropped and bled, altcoin is still very cheap for a pair on BTC, hopefully altcoin season can come as soon as possible
, most of the top coins seems performing better then BTC even on a pull back.

For now, I observe the price of bitcoin and I see it continue slowly and that was good sign to invest. I don't believe on altcoins now and I suggest that it is better for now to hold your bitcoin because if everyone do hold we can gain profit soon.
If Bitcoin continues to move up, I believe that altcoins will lose more value. And we will lose BTC if we move Altcoin to BTC, so in this stage is hold Bitcoin and wait for it to reach a higher level, then we can consider and choose altcoin investment. I also do not believe in altcoin at this stage, if investing Altcoin / USDT then we can choose a few top altcoins to invest in.

perhaps this is what people who manipulate prices in the market are waiting for. note that when everyone stopped believing in growth and said that the price would go even lower - we saw the growth, and now everyone says that the time has come for the bull market and now we need to buy so as not to miss our chance. I think that very soon we will begin to go down again

I do prefer to invest in top-performing altcoins as wells such as Ethereum, Ripple, BNB and more since they already have proven themselves that they are worthy of my investment. Not gonna lie, I am having a doubt to invest in new altcoins the fact that most of it are trash and it is too risky for me to handle, I know the more risk the more profit it will be but still I won't take it. Top-ranked coins because usually as Bitcoins grow up they tend to the same yet they have the largest volume in the entire market thus, there's a high chance for you to earn a high return.

Hopefully, we could make a top run this year not only for Bitcoin but of the entire market. I believe that halving will help a lot with the better market trend this year and keeping more altcoins today is really great. Not really at 100% market assurance but it for sure this year will have made another great story.We better grab this opportunity before it becomes expensive.

Its really hard to guess what is the right time to invest, was trying to catch moment from march 2019. Finally saw opportunity, hope i got bulls-eye ...ha.
Always wanted to get in start in bullmarket, currently so far so good. Its so unpredictable can roll over any minute.
Dollar cost average. Don't put all your buys in at one price.
It's very difficult to time your entry completely perfectly and I don't think even the most professional traders have done that on a consistent basis, let alone having your sells at the exact right time as well.
Diversifying into alts like you said will also be a very good idea, although I think that BTC could outperform most alts after this initial round of altcoin recovery.

Based on your list, they are not shitcoin, they are legit altcoins and I am happy that there are still investors who are trusting altcoins to generate profit for them. Let's admit that altcoins investors are slowly dumping their altcoins due to the fact that it dropped 90% or less form its peak price, but the market would certainly rebound and if we are talking about market, it's the market for all, not only bitcoin.

What you are forgetting is that even tho dollar loses it is value and altcoins gain value in dollar terms, bitcoin also gains value in dollar terms as well so it is harder to make more money in bitcoin valuation. Could it happen? Sure it could, that is why it is an experiment to begin with and we will see the results by the end of 2020 and see if it worked or not, however I would say you should follow up with how much dollars you can make as well, that way we can see that even if it doesn't make profit in bitcoin terms, it could potentially make money in dollar terms and that could be a little hope for the people.

Interesting point , thank you for reminding . I can always look back purchase done on 13th January 2btc. Think it was around 15k total.

everyone has a different investment strategy. and one of the crypto investment strategies is to buy some of the top altcoins to increase profits. because sometimes when bitcoin goes up, most altcoins will also go up. and usually the percentage increase in altcoin is greater than bitcoin. so that if we really do altcoin we will also get a large profit. I also do this. I hold some of the top altcoins like Litecoin and Ethereum.
You are right, lookalike the crypto market is still dependent on Bitcoin. If this increases all other altcoins loud their sounds if BTC drops they massively fall down. I personally feel that Tron will be a good investment for 2020 because they are undervalued and they could be next ETH if it gets proper support from the community. Those who invest in Tron has the possibility of getting a higher return on investment due to its negligible price as of now.
Currently bitcoin is going up so the other altcoins are also experiencing more increases than bitcoin, I believe more in ETH and TRON because both of them have good missions this year, especially recently, the YouTuber pewdiepie talked about tron in his video, this is news which is remarkable because there could have been an influence on the increase in Tron on the market, because the increase in Tron is now quite good.

actually I have just thought about this. if you buy ethereum, then the increase in price has reached 0.002 BTC for 1 ethereum. while for other altcoins like BCH SV, Dash, and coins that are worth above 20%, it seems that the additions are really quite high. I started thinking about exchanging the bitcoins I had with altcoin, it's just that I didn't want to miss the train when bitcoin reached a high price.
