I don't see how it's bad when a project postponed bounty duration, maybe they postponed because the target of fundraising is not met yet, if the project is good enough for you just cope with the changes
In my experience, when this happens is awful news since it for the most part implies that the project isn't getting the ideal investment and they are postponing the finish of the ICO/IEO in the expectation they can get a couple of more USD

not all is good because all the gifts that pay for alt are not affected by the extra weeks and the main point in getting results is the project itself, no matter it's short or long but so far the bounty payment from alt is still not good in my opinion.
Absolutely, there are some projects are giving extra weeks because they did not meet their target so they are giving that to reach their goal in a certain period of time. It is somehow bad to investors because of course, they want to be paid in an exact time that the project have said right from the beginning. Extra weeks to bounty duration doesn't mean the bounty is good or bad, you have to make sure the project is good enough so when they add additional weeks it will worth it, Some bounties have very low week like four weeks but they end up a shit project
Of course, just like what have I said above, some are giving that because they did not meet their target but some project is really fruitful they are extending because they still want to run it and they have enough money to pay for bounty or signature campaigns, so there are still time and money to give for them as they are doing their job and that is to promote that particular campaign by wearing signatures.
as long as I was in the cryptoqurrency room I had never or participated in a bounty campaign that lasted more than 12 weeks or even added a few more weeks. but if I am in that position, then I prefer to go and replace with others, if I no longer believe in the previous project.
12 weeks is 4 months . usual bounty only alocate 3 months and could be 4 maxed if they will extend but 4 months plus 8 weeks more is new to me and already verry risky to participate if they dont provide upfront payments after the 4 month course . what kind of ico was that ? how much money they need to collect or how much time they want , because the project supposed to get started asap after some investors have paid because they are also waiting for the results .
For me adding a few more weeks to bounty campaign is just fine as long as the rewards is also getting larger because I am not just thinking about promoting the project but as well as for the benefits of my own sake of course. Well, it must be relevant and reasonable for the project to extend their campaign. But if they extended their campaign without valid reason, it will just play as a burden for me because there are lots of potential projects that are awaiting to be unlocked which I do also want to get engage with. For me, it still depends if the extension will be worthy or not. If it will be worthy, then I will going to proceed but if the extension will not be worthy, I will just withdraw from it because I am still get paid for the weeks I have get engage on promoting their project.
There could either be a bad extension or good extension.If the devs aren't doing well pre-extension, it might be better to ditch the project already because even if it did succeed after the extension, the profitability isn't that higher anymore as the possibility of how high it could be when it succeeded already in the first place.

Although this is great idea to increase more weeks but most people see it in a negative sense for example they think if you are increasing time it means your project is not worthy or you are not able to find investor for your project on the contrary it also gives you more time to work and increase your stakes.
I think bounty extention up to 8 more weeks is your advantage as hunter because all we know that if bounty will extend you are the one who have benefits becauae you can earn with extention also. And if you are promoting a good campaign, I think you wish it will extend for a year.
Lol what kind of advantages for extra weeks? If bounty budget will not increase. And ultimately your reward will be decrease because participants gradually increase but pool is fixed. If just in one campaign your wast 4-5 months even payment is not confirmed. Whatever it’s a good projects but extra 8 weeks means huge time. I'm not agree to participate 4-5 months long campaign. Most of the time when a bounty campaign extends like this then their outcome won't good most of the time. A campaign with 4-week duration extends another 4 weeks, that can be acceptable. But if a 12 weeks bounty extends another 8 weeks, then sorry I won't do that!
Disagree with you, many of these long period of campaigns are most at times good campaigns with reasonable team behind the projects. Personally, I'm a bounty hunter with passion for good project to participate into. With this long period of bounty campaigns, I have made more money than signature campaign. MB8 was one of those bounty campaign that fetched me thousands of $$,$$$. This bounty was done over six months or above for those who completed their stay on the campaign.

Well having this kind of announcement from the dev/manager is disappointing because you're expecting the campaign will going to end but then there's an extension for few more weeks. I experienced this before its either they will pause the campaign or extend it. However it doesnt mean the project will fail but majority of campaign who did this do fail. Thats why its important to be careful when choosing where to participate or else your effort will be wasted.But i think added 8 weeks is so long if there are 12 weeks before.
All you have to do is you have to ask the bounty manager if there are additional tokens for the campaign? If there isn't, leave. You can tell the bounty manager to calculate your stake. And you don't need to still that campaign. If there are additional tokens, you can continue your work.

Things don't work like this in crypto space anymore, most ridicule looking projects do better than impressing looking projects, you can't predict which bounty will turn out good so i advice you to let your mind work longer on any project unless they are fake
there are two kinds about the bounty time. they cut some weeks or they added some weeks for the campaign. they cut some weeks because the project is success earlier OR they feel that the project will fail. they added some weeks because they still need some funds from the token sell and they feel that there will be some investors will coming. but of course added some weeks in the middle or in the end of campaign will make hunters frustated.
The mentality of doing extra work will depend on the good project. When the project is good and the budget is good, the mind wants to work longer. Otherwise the mentality of the work is lost.
very true, people are more willingly to work extra when there is a good motivational factor, nobody will desire to work extra if there won't be any motivation whatsoever, aside from being motivated, the project in question matters as well, if a project has all the ingredient of success and has the right hands on deck to push the project to the right point, such factors can also be motivation to make people to work extra time in a project,
however, a project that don't really possess this factors and not willingly to compensate for the extra time is not worth the trouble,
so if the project would worth my time and the pool is increase yes i would definitely working extra especially when the additional time is not too long.
So far only limited bounties that add more weeks to bounty duration ends up a successful one but this doesn't mean that every single bounty projects that add more weeks to bounty duration are scam or will all fail, its all about trying
